Coffee was great. Various choices for pastries and sweets. The Whoopie Pie was yummy as were the homemade cinnamon rolls. The Suagr Bakery provides the perfect stop for a quick breakfast or treat!

Everything was DELICIOUS! Staff was super friendly and helpful. There is so much to choose from, it’s not just sugary stuff! They have good breakfast food too. Only thing that would have made it better would have been if our food was toasted before we got it, could be an option that we just didn’t know about but it was all delicious nonetheless.

We visited this bakery multiple times during our trip since it was very close to where we were lodging and everything was AMAZING. From the pastries and baked goods to the coffee, we loved everything we had. The staff was kind and offered lovely suggestions our first day visiting. We did notice some of the really good stuff sells out throughout the day, so stop by in the morning to have a chance to try everything.
It is cash only as other reviews state, but the is an ATM on site. Highly recommend stopping by during your trip to Mt. Desert Island.

Do NOT miss this place!!!! We visited twice in a week and if I could've gone every day, I would've!!!! Absolutely the BEST!!!!! My husband (on our first visit) got two cinnamon donuts (not to share, BTW) and an elephant ear. I ordered a chocolate brioche and an apple fritter. Wow!!!!! I cannot even begin to express the quality and the absolute delight!!!! It took a lot but I saved the fritter for the next day. My husband saved a donut. We made a second visit before leaving the area because, it was just THAT good!!!!! Second order was the same for my husband and I tried the blueberry scones, which were absolutely delicious!!!!!! When in the area, be sure to visit!!!!!
