⸻ Unfortunately, I ate there tonight with a group of nine, and my experience was very disappointing. I completely understand that people forget things — we’re all human — but my server told me my food wasn’t ready, and I ended up waiting about 20–25 minutes. I finally went to the front to cancel the order since everyone else had already finished eating. Instead of offering to comp the meal, provide dessert, or do anything to fix the situation, they simply canceled it and gave me attitude. At one point I was even told, “Oh, don’t worry, I yelled at the cooks.” First of all, I don’t want anyone yelling at the cooks, and second, what I really wanted was some kind of remedy or effort to make things right. The rest of the entire staff continued to be rude for the remainder of the evening. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with how the situation was handled.
I want to like this place due to its proximity and location, however each visit I am left disappointed. Drinks are always good, food is 50/50, service is in dire need of training. We were greeted and seated promptly, quick drink order placed. Mac and cheese had a very salty topping that was too strong and deterred me from eating my meal. Only one gluten free option- pizza dough. No drinks were offered to be refilled, when waitress asked if everything was good she was spun on her heels before she even looked at everyone at the table. Ordered my dinner with a side salad that never came but was put on our bill. Poor service has been consistent with each visit in the last 6 months. I hope things improve. I’d like to enjoy my local restaurant and keep my money local.

We hit a hole-in-one with our dinner plans at The Highland Grill! This charming golf course pub in Maine exceeded our expectations in every way. The views of the course were stunning, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The menu was a home run – creative pub fare with a Maine twist, featuring fresh seafood and local favorites. We loved the burgers, sandwiches, and of course, the craft beers on tap. Service was top-notch – friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Whether you're a golfer or just looking for a great meal, The Highland Grill is a must-visit. We'll be back for sure!

Enroute to vacation destination..back roads of Maine, short distance off route. Absolutely delicious. Pizzas..crab rangoon and magherita..to die for. 5 stars! Smash burgers with add ons and fries..huge! Not a bite leftover. Rolling through with camper in tow...found a place to park. Thanks for a great meal!
