we grabbed and early breakfast- the food and service were both great. A go to location for a good breakfast.

I had breakfast here with friends while I was staying on the island for a couple of weeks this summer -- it's nothing fancy, and is very much a local place, which is a BIG part of its charm. Apparently several of the lobstermen have breakfast here before heading out for the day. I had 2 eggs over easy, rye toast & bacon -- all were very well done and delicious. We were lucky enough to get a table out on the deck, so we had a great view out over the harbor. I'm looking forward to going back next time I'm on the island.

Wicked slow....what a Pissah if you know what I mean. Shocked it's still structurally sound whole place could fall into carvers harbor any day now!

Exactly the kind of informal breakfast joint you'd expect (and hope) to find in this sleepy harbor village. Locals who all know each other come and go, sharing tables and anecdotes while the salt-of-the-earth waitress keeps everyone's coffee mugs full. Breakfasts are simple and hearty with generous portioning and no-nonsense style of service. Open 7 days a week when I visited in late September 2021.

Fiance and I stopped in for breakfast while on the island. Great food, great prices, friendly staff.

Went to eat breakfast with my family. We had 7 people in our group. Owner saw some of us got coffee at the bakery. She got really angry. Started yelling at us. She refused to serve breakfast. She was extremely impolite, rude and nasty.

The waitress was so rude I walked out. Everything else was closed to we walked down to Surfside. Most tables were full and there was no seat yourself sign so we walked to the register to check in. The waitress brushed past us and barked "I'm gonna be a minute" ok fine we are in no hurry. The on her way back said to my husband "Not the best place to stand" with no further instruction. We shuffled off to the side before I looked at him and suggested we leave. I felt uncomfortable and like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer and did not want to give them my money. I understand a busy restaurant can be stressful but we were far from impatient. In fact we never actually said a word to anyone.

They serve Giffords ice cream, which is fine but nothing special. Candies were OK too. Nice place to stop by after hiking or right when you get off the boat. Service was friendly and fine.
