Exactly the kind of informal breakfast joint you'd expect (and hope) to find in this sleepy harbor village. Locals who all know each other come and go, sharing tables and anecdotes while the salt-of-the-earth waitress keeps everyone's coffee mugs full. Breakfasts are simple and hearty with generous portioning and no-nonsense style of service. Open 7 days a week when I visited in late September 2021.
They serve Giffords ice cream, which is fine but nothing special. Candies were OK too. Nice place to stop by after hiking or right when you get off the boat. Service was friendly and fine.

I had breakfast here with friends while I was staying on the island for a couple of weeks this summer -- it's nothing fancy, and is very much a local place, which is a BIG part of its charm. Apparently several of the lobstermen have breakfast here before heading out for the day. I had 2 eggs over easy, rye toast & bacon -- all were very well done and delicious.
