If you enjoy taco bell this place is NOT for you! This place has real ingredients and you get a ton for your money. I ordered take out and loved the decor inside, felt like I was stepping into another world and out of Maine.
Portions were 2 meals, chips were nice and crunchy, salsa just right amount of spice, the burritos were packed full! Very nice staff and super clean and well maintained.

El Tequila has a small sign, is tucked away at the end of a small strip mall and is easy to miss, but if you like Mexican food, you should seek this place out.
The restaurant is very nice inside with hand carved tables and chairs painted with festive Mexican scenes, but it's the food we come for which is very good. We've tried the lunch specials and are now working on the main menu, where my current favorite is the Burrito California. We have dined in before but don't always have time for a sit down meal so the last few times we have called the restaurant from the road and ordered takeout, which comes up very fast. On our last trip through town, we forgot to call ahead, so we walked in and ordered. Our food was ready to go in no time which we thoroughly enjoyed once we got home.

El Tequila is a decent Mexican restaurant. They offer all the staples that one would expect on a huge menu. Being authentic, sometimes the food has a local authentic variation from what you may be used to, but still good. The atmosphere can get very loud if they're busy. The atmosphere makes this not great for a first date type place, just throwing that out there. The servers work hard, but sometimes it appears there are some slight language barriers, which add to the charm and authenticity. Costs are about average and portions are fair. The drinks menu is also pretty large with heavy emphasis on beers and margaritas, done if which are overly sweet or not mixed that way that you'd expect. There is plenty of free parking and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Try El Tequila for yourself.
