Our first time there. Expectations were more than surpassed. Four different fish dishes, all of different varieties, beyond our dining experiences. These meals were perfectly prepared, served with excellent timing and courtesy by a most competent server. Will we be going back? Already picked a day. The owner was gracious enough to come to our table when asked so we could praise his creation...18 Below.

Excellent food and service. Steep stairs to get in/out. Parking area across the street. Stuffed haddock was great as was the blueberry cosmo.
Recently dined in and was blown away! The food was absolutely incredible, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our waitress, Summer. We sat in the bar area, and she was both informative and engaging. Her drinks were top-notch! This has officially become my new go-to spot. Amazing food, excellent service, and a fantastic atmosphere
We were definitely looking forward to dinner here given the good reviews. Sadly it was a huge disappointment. First of all it was not at all busy and we were seated in the bar area. That meant the bartender waited on us. When we asked what seafood dish she recommended (which we always solicit) she replied that she doesn’t eat seafood. Tip to manager..if you have servers working in a primarily seafood restaurant please have them conversant in the dishes. And she seemed proud to tell us that. She was flip and condescending the rest of the meal. Next the food..the lobster filet dish was like a slight upgrade to a chicken fried steak. Would never recommend that to anyone. Similarly the haddock dish was mediocre at best. Overall a big disappointment and frankly unpleasant experience from a service perspective.
I really enjoyed the restaurant, atmosphere was great everyone talking and enjoying dinner. Not to loud, it's located in a basement with a open kitchen. So you can see all the good food coming out if you sit near that side. My wife had the stuffed haddock and loved it. I had the shredded brisket plate which was very tasty. We will return.

Ally was fantastic, and the food was delicious. We started with the shrimp cocktail and wedge salad, and finished with the NY Strip and lobster Filet. Everything was amazing! I definitely recommend 18 Below. If we lived here, we would come back, but we are just passing through. It was so good that I wanted to leave a review.
This was our first time at 18Below. We received a very friendly greeting upon our arrival, it was early in the evening so we were quickly seated. Our waitress was very pleasant and very efficient.
I selected the Parmesan encrusted cod which was fresh and delicious. I’ll definitely return.

Very much enjoyed our meal. Dry rubbed steak - oh so tender. Side of creamy potatoes and garlic baby carrots and onions. My bride had diver scallops. She ate every bite. She also enjoyed her side dishes. We started with salads. She had the house salad and I had the wedge with house made gorgonzola cheese. And don't forget the cocktails. She had an espresso martini and I drank a local coffee Porter. Not the cheapest dinner, but it was a long deserved date night. Right next door to the Waterville Opera House..
The lamb rib was excellent. Service was better than average. A little pricey but worth it.
One of the best restaurants in Maine!
Excellent selection of drinks and food. Delicious dishes and attentive service.
