Hubby + I had an absolutely FABULOUS lunch at Opa today. Our server, Josh, was beyond professional and attentive, without being overbearing. We shared the special rice balls which were crispy and creamy and utterly delicious. Hubby had a chicken souvlaki plate that was enormous and delicious, I had the spanikopita, pillowy + crispy, and the eggplant with pita, warm and light. Everything was simply amazing and we can't wait to go back when we're in the area!

We visited Greece last summer and we were impressed by this restaurant! We ordered some apps and entrees. The meatballs, pita bread, and gyro were delicious.

We went to OPA on Valentine's Day, and the service was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was enjoyable. Overall, a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back.

Atmosphere and wait staff are fantastic. The food selection is great, HOWEVER, the entrees I've tried were all quite salty. My girlfriend and I are in our mid-30s and cook most meals ourselves. We mostly make Hispanic and Southeast Asian food, so it could be a difference in palette, or our ages, or we could be going when it's super busy. The food is very much edible, but salt is the predominant flavor on the 4 dishes we've gotten, which were also all over $30. Would be great with less salt.

Food was good.. waited an hour for drinks then finally placed our order. Had to call the waitress over to take our order though. Had the special lamb Wellington. Cooked to perfection, but should have been plated differently. Cutting into a Wellington on top on a bowl of mashed potatoes isn’t ideal. Also when you walk in no on greeted us and no host station. After we walked up the bar someone greeted us. Some people were waiting and then sat other people that came in after them. Management needs to have a better system for that. Overall food was good though.

Was in town for close to two weeks. Went here with some coworkers and decided to go back with a different group of coworkers later in the trip. Couldn't say enough good about this place. Got a lamb skewer and the moussaka. So much food and so so good. Service was great. My coworkers thought highly of Opa as well. We spoke to some local folks and other restaurants who recommended here, a very good sign.

I ordered the Greek Salad it was $24 for a miniature salad that was nothing special. The lamb was a little tough. I was very disappointed, this is the first time I have ever posted a bad review anywhere.

What a beautiful restaurant! Wonderful welcoming men at the bar. They felt like instant friends. The cocktails were super yummy and the food had my husband moaning from the over the top deliciousness. This place is a gem! Happy to have found it!

Souvlaki dinner, kataifi for dessert. Not just the best Greek meal I've had the joy to eat. This was the best meal in Maine. Make a reservation and enjoy the phenomenal food and atmosphere!

Small, cozy, and while trying to be an upscale restaurant. Chicken carbonara was over sauce souvlaki was too salty with day-old chicken skewered. I don't want to talk about the calamari I ordered as an appetizer.
I lost to coin toast for this place, but my next dining out would be next door Italian restaurant.
Response to Owner:
What would have changed if I had told the waiter my food was below the average? The waiter was the best thing in your restaurant.

My coworkers and I went to Opa for our Christmas party. Everything was fantastic! Drinks, apps, entrees, dessert, the service… all outstanding! Despite a misunderstanding regarding the half-off dining gift certificates we purchased through Fox 22 to use that evening (the purchaser on our end didn’t notice when she bought them that only one could be used per visit), the server and owner were very patient and helpful when handling the situation. Thank you for being wonderful hosts for our gathering. I will be back for sure!
