Everytime we are in Biddeford for the MS Great Maine Getaway we stop here on Sunday! Love the vibe, food, cocktails, and staff!

It is a hidden gem. The service is outstanding, from the hostess letting us know it's a 50 minute wait ,much appreciated this information. We got drinks at the bar, best Cosmos made correctly. The bartender keep it moving, to the waiter who was absolutely terrific.
We had fried clams, whole belly done correctly--no sand. The pan seared cod flaked beautifully, the house salad, crisp & a great starter.
Love the vibe, eclectic, welcoming.

Hidden gem in coastal Wells, The Bitter End delivered an unforgettable dining experience that left us genuinely impressed. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff and their seamless service made us feel welcome and relaxed. I went for the Carnitas El Pastor, and wow! it was a burst of bold, layered flavors. My wife ordered the lobster roll, a Maine classic done right. Sweet chunks of lobster, lightly dressed to let the freshness shine, nestled in a toasted bun with just the right amount of buttery crunch. This place is a gem. If you’re passing through or lucky enough to live nearby, The Bitter End deserves a spot high on your list. Can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!

If you like your chowder, thick, creamy and full of flavor, this is the place. Fish tacos were amazing, too.

On vacation. Frequented this establishment since the days of cape porpoise. Tried to get there before closing didn't quote make it as my husband has end stage copd and we were late. I asked for an exception and they refused to add us to the list, you have lost a long to me customer.....when you take the customer out of customer service you might as well close your doors, miss you Peter.

Didn't even get passed appetizers without there being a chunk of crab shell in the most mediocre crab cakes... no way I would pay $26 nor without the shell. Atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant is in a good spot, otherwise never coming back.

The one thing I absolutely LOVED about this restaurant was the outdoor area! Unfortunately, our server was also the outdoor bartender, and he was very busy. The only time we saw him, was to greet us and take our order. My daughter did not enjoy her meal, but we were not checked on to let anyone know. Being a server and bartender myself, there were a lot of marks that simply were not hit for me. When we were ready to leave, one person took my credit card, another person dropped it back off. We asked for a lemonade to go, and received a glass—I again, asked for a to go cup, and was told, “well, we don’t really have to go cups, per se….” Not a crisis, but, nonetheless odd for a restaurant not to have a to go cup. I would not return, simply because the service was not engaging, and at no point did anyone ask how we were enjoying our meal. At minimum, guests should have a sense of being welcomed and appreciated. As a local, I found our first and last visit here disappointing.

Paid over $30 for a scallop pasta dish and was really disappointed when the dish came out and it had 3 tiny bay scallops on it. Would have preferred to go anywhere else where you get actual sea scallops because we are in Maine and that's what you'd expect. At the very least, tell me you're giving me 3 tiny bay scallops so I can immediately know it's not something I'd ever pay over $30 for. Other than that, the service and atmosphere were good.

Arrived early and got a great table by a window. Server was excellent... friendly and well-informed. Drinks were brought promptly and were really good. Dinner was nicely presented and absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back.
