This resturant came highly recommended by a local. Very disappointed with overall quality and quantity of dish. Priced too high for portion. I had the Lobster ricotta. Rice was undercooked. Husband had chicken pot pie...tasteless. Scallop dish was disappointing in that there were only 3 small bay scallops with undercooked rice. Everything was overpriced. Will not be a recommendation from my group.

I love this place. Excellent food and service. Taylor was our server and she was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, as well as attentive. All of the decor is so unique and fun to look at. There always seems to be something new on the walls every time we go. We had the original onion strings, muscles, chicken pot pie, the seafood stew, and cocktails. Everything was amazing. There was live music when we got there and the place was very busy. The hostess said there would be a 35 minute wait, but we were sat within 15 minutes. I like that they under promised and over delivered. Ive been here a bunch of times and the food and service never miss 🤩

This is a busy place that only does walk ins. The food was awesome. Had the crab cakes, chicken taquitos, mussels provencal and cod. We managed to snag the last table near the bar. The lady taking care of us and everyone seated at the bar was super efficient. She made us some very serious cocktails.

Absolutely everything❤⚪💙!!! Ate inside for the first time...Super cute, and filled with all kinds of interesting sports memorabilia.. We had all the apps..Thai brussels sprouts, onion strings, crabcakes..The were super busy but the staff was calm, efficient, and friendly.. Our server, Stephanie, was awesome!! Highly recommended😊😊

It is a hidden gem. The service is outstanding, from the hostess letting us know it's a 50 minute wait ,much appreciated this information. We got drinks at the bar, best Cosmos made correctly. The bartender keep it moving, to the waiter who was absolutely terrific. We had fried clams, whole belly done correctly--no sand. The pan seared cod flaked beautifully, the house salad, crisp & a great starter. Love the vibe, eclectic, welcoming.

Hidden gem in coastal Wells, The Bitter End delivered an unforgettable dining experience that left us genuinely impressed. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff and their seamless service made us feel welcome and relaxed. I went for the Carnitas El Pastor, and wow! it was a burst of bold, layered flavors. My wife ordered the lobster roll, a Maine classic done right. Sweet chunks of lobster, lightly dressed to let the freshness shine, nestled in a toasted bun with just the right amount of buttery crunch. This place is a gem. If you’re passing through or lucky enough to live nearby, The Bitter End deserves a spot high on your list. Can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!
