Soup and salad bar on top of plated dinner is a lot of food. Perfect

Their food is good, but it’s a really loud atmosphere. You can’t even hear yourself talking to the people at your table. The waitress was really nice, but she was overwhelmed, and she kept forgetting everything even part of my to go ordee which I didn’t even bother going back for. I live too far away.

Unfortunately my son was under the weather and we couldn’t go out with the rest of the family to lunch. My mom brought me home a massive surprise tho. I’ve been reviewing lobster rolls for years now on several different accounts. So let’s dive in on this. First the presentation! I thought that they would cut a lobster roll this size up and put it in multiple containers. To my surprise it wasn’t. They take so much pride in their food that they pack it in a nice seafood container. Came with two 1/4 pickles, two chips, two forks, two SILVER plastic knives, and a boat load of napkins. Now for the second best part of a lobster roll. The role, the roll was a warm role so fresh that it tasted like it was just baked and still warm! Wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t, the bread had such good flavor and was so fresh that I would 100% say it was the best bread I’ve had ever in my life. Now for the meat and potatoes or lobster if you will. The lobster was fresh, not fishy at all. It’s like Gilligan and the Skipper themselves never got stranded on that two hour tour! Instead they were lobster fishermen that went to a bakery, got bread made right then and there, cooked those lobsters on the boat and handed it to me on the dock. Impressed is an understatement! When it comes to gimmicks in food like a unnecessarily large lobster roll, they normally are never good as the real thing. This proves it wrong! Get it! Enjoy it! Thank me later! I will be back!!!!!!!!

During my work trip to Maine this week, I was recommended to visit Bull and Claw Restaurant in Wells ME. It was a super experience not only with the old charm of “Old New England” which locals visit all of the time, but the friendly atmosphere that is beyond above average!
My waitress Theresa was outstanding! Her smile and attention to detail left me wanting to write this review before leaving my seat. Food came out super fast. I was served very tasty warm roll with butter to start, and for lunch, I had their 8” lobster roll and clam chowder which both were delicious! They have a huge salad bar, may have to try it next time.
Everyone near Wells or surrounding towns should try this restaurant! It’s a must!

Cute place right across the street from The Maine Diner. My husband had the prime rib which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the seafood Newburgh special. Absolutely delicious! Creamy and rich. It came with the salad and soup bar. Wow! Great selection of salad bar items to choose from. The soups were really tough to decide one which one to take, they all looked and smelled amazing! I settled on chowder which was very good. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. Prices were very good for the quality and quantity! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Prime rib was way over cooked and dry. Stuffing in backed scallops was nothing but bread crumbs. Very poor quality at a premium price.
