There is no better place for donuts than Congdons. Their fritters are TO DIE FOR. My favorite one is the blueberry fritter. The best part about the fritters is if you happen to have leftovers, you can heat them in the air fryer for 5 minutes and they are just as good if not better than fresh. The air fryer makes the outside nice and crispy and the inside so warm and fluffy. YUMMMM.

We are a family of 4 , who were looking forward to the apple fritters and blueberry donuts( it is Maine after all.) We went in and they were out of both, were rushing us to make our choice and 1/2 dozen donuts were $18, and there was absolutely nothing special about them. We were highly disappointed. Not going back there again.

This was our fourth trip to Maine and we FINALLY made it to Congdon’s!!! It was everything my husband hoped it would be! I’m so glad he found this place! Absolutely delicious! Got the Honey Dipped doughnuts!!! OMG….AMAZING!! Also got me a four pack of whoopie pies….So good!!! We will make this a mandatory stop every time we come to Maine!!!

My first time here! I always support local restaurants over chains (sorry, DD!). This place had fantastic customer service—the staff was friendly and welcoming. The donuts were delicious (I especially loved the chocolate powder donut and the cinnamon sugar), and I’m very picky about my coffee, but even that was excellent! It’s great to know that this place has been around for over 65 years. I hope to visit again someday!

This donut shop takes me back to my childhood, where the family is genuine. I saw many family members 'working' side-by-side, a labor of love in every donut and pastry they bake. The 'staff', who might not have been related, was genuine, positive-minded, and dedicated to the business. I ? recommend this business for you to enjoy and make new memories with your loved ones and friends. Btw, I drove with my son 45 mins to this shop, and I will do it again. ❤️

Awesome donuts! The place was packed, but they know how to do busy! They had the service down to the T. We got blueberry filled, raspberry filled, and honey glazed donuts. All were awesome! Highly recommend the raspberry filled, that was my favorite.
