Tried this place tonight for the first time since new owners took over. Everyone in the family loved their dinner! The dumplings were light and not greasy, so tasty. Everything seemed really fresh including the sushi and perfectly flavored. Will definitely go back soon!

Ordered sushi take out and I was happily surprised by all of the different options! I am gluten free & they seemed very knowledgeable about what I could and could not eat when I called & also when fulfilling the order. I simply instructed I had a gluten allergy in the notes and they gave me gluten free soy sauce & substituted the spicy sauce for something gluten free on the side for me for the white tuna roll. (Also took out the crunch). Only downside is the rolls are quite small, only 6 pieces & with 2 rolls being almost $16 it’s a bit on the pricey side.
Great place. Low key. Full bar. Great sushi menu. We like the specialty rolls so we tried the Tiger and Ninja rolls. Both very fresh and delicious. The Special Wonton soup was great. Very fresh veggies in it. Had warm Sake. Great combo with the Sushi. Service was fast. Lots of daily specials.

Had a great luncheon / dinner at Kai with my sister and niece. The service is excellent as is the food - fresh and plated nicely. We hope all you folks in Wells continue to support this restaurant — it’s a gem. So much to choose from though we focused this trip mainly on Japanese. Looking forward to returning on our next trip!

We visit Maine from NY every year, and this sushi spot is often in our rotation of places to eat. We enjoy the relaxed and stress-free atmosphere, which is a nice break from the craziness of tourism. The food overall is delicious and well rounded in depth of flavor, with plenty of options to choose from! Fish quality is extremely fresh. Server is also extremely friendly and attentive. Definitely worth the trip!
