Stopped in to get my kiddo a smoothie to go with my coffee from Backyard. It was a decent smoothie…nothing too spectacular. The kids working and the ambience made it fun. It’s a nice little spot and they have a lot of variety. Will be back.

Just a little shack with only a bit of seating, but lovely view over the mudflats (it was low tide when I was there). Absolutely the best Açaí Bowl I’ve ever had! Yummy! My other friends had a different bowl with peanut butter in it and they also deemed theirs awesome ?Vegetarian options: All bowls are vegetarian. Don’t know but assume most are vegan also.Parking: Parking across street but gets very busy and fills up with beachgoers.

Love Shack USED to be one of my favorite places to eat in Ogunquit, but that was completely ruined this week. The man taking orders(I suspect a manager or owner as he was older than the usual young people working the counter) was completely rude, arrogant and condescending for absolutely no reason. Before placing my order, I explained that I have a tree nut allergy. He immediately got a smirk on his face and proceeded to inform me that they use a lot of nuts and cashew milk as an alternative to dairy. His smirk evolved into a mocking, *!#@%-eating grin and he proceeded to say something like “eating here with a nut allergy is like eating at an ice cream shop with a dairy allergy”. I was completely taken aback by his rudeness and smug attitude. I have always been treated extremely well by the other staff and they have always offered to double rinse the blenders before making my order. I have never encountered a food service establishment that treated me so rudely. The staff at the Harbor Candy shop were extremely kind when I asked about their dark chocolate. They explained politely that the chocolate did not have nuts, but there was a risk of cross contamination. They didn’t mock me or treat me rudely, despite the fact that they also use a lot of nuts in their products. I would recommend avoiding the Love Shack as you never no when you might encounter this just plain rude, mean man.
