We had reservations for an outside table but that late morning was chilly so were able to sit indoors after a little wait. The food was yummy for brunch!

I am so disappointed to have to leave this review, as a Wells resident and frequent visitor of this restaurant. I made reservations for brunch over a month in advance for my bachelorette party August 17. I confirmed with the restaurant, even though we were playing phone tag. I got a confirmation for my party of 12 on Friday morning. When we arrive to the restaurant the morning of August 17, not only were we told that we would not be seated, the rude hostess proceeded to blame it on me. Rather than apologize, she said that she had been trying to call me for weeks, argued with me, and made it seem as if it were my fault that they could not accommodate our party. I am so very disappointed with this lack of service. I understand extenuating circumstances, the hostess said that several cooks had quit. Because my group of bachelorette party attendees was all dressed up, we took a photo of the 12 of us and the person taking our picture said, “be happy you didn’t get seated, we’ve been here for 2 1/2 hours and don’t have our food.” It sounds like a failing business to me. I called them to try to rectify the situation before leaving this one star review and no one ever returned my call. I would stay away!

Was charged 13.5% meals tax today?

Giving a neutral rating because the wait was an hour and we didn’t want to wait disappointed but I guess you have to make a reservation for this place

They refused to sit a party of six. We offered to split up and they refused to sit us because it would take them too long to serve both tables at the same time. The place looks so cute, such a disappointment. Terrible service in the front.

Merriland Farm Café is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots I’ve been to. The service was warm, attentive, and made me feel right at home.

Breakfast came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor—clearly made with care.

Even the coffee was spot-on and never empty. A place that takes pride in both food and hospitality. Can’t wait to come back!

Great food and great service!

My friend and I were walk-in, arrived at 9am and were told it would be about an hour wait. It’s such a peaceful spot that we ended up finding a spot to sit nearby the parking until we were seated.

Food came fast and was delicious! Great GF (gluten free) options. And, our serving staff and the hostess were very friendly.

**Also note: Slightly comical and also disheartening to read reviews of other patrons not having some patience and grace for staff at the Café during peak tourism season. Your serving staff are humans - please treat them so. There’s a risk in trying to walk-in any spots in coastal and southern ME in summer and early fall seasons - so keep that in mind. It’s well worth the wait and I recommend if you’re on a time crunch to reserve a table ahead of time.

The food was great, and the service was lovely. The patio is dog friendly and the hostess even brought our pup some water and bacon.

Came here before playing at the golf course, the best breakfast I’ve had! As someone who eats gluten free, it was such a treat to be able to read a whole menu dedicated to gluten free items. I had the corn beef hash omelette and we all split the blueberry cream cheese stuffed French toast… so delicious! The homemade whipped cream was insanely fresh. We will definitely be back.

This place is truly a hidden gem!!
Did we wait for our table w a reservation? yes. Did we wait a little bit for our food? Yes.
Was it worth it? 100%!!
They were short handed and definitely hustling but the manager came over with a tea bread (amazing)for the table and let us know right away. The food was delicious and hot when served 😋 there was a small error with an order and it was fixed very quickly.
Can't speak highly enough for liz and the Merriland farm Cafe team .
DEFINITELY recommend a reservation and the crepes😊
