Food was poor quality portions were awful the eggs were over cooked. three dollars for one slice of bread with no butter. Hollandaise was like water and staff was grumpy. The only things you don’t need to do is cook ( which maybe you should) and dishes. $47 for a breakfast that any other place is under $30 and when you order a side of toast you get 2 slices not 1 slice for $3 I could buy the whole loaf for $3

Nice atmosphere, staff was rude and miserable. Food was undercooked home fries like a raw potato, eggs had a weird taste and just horrible. The coffee was good tho!! Also pretty expensive for the quality Don’t

My husband and I love "For the Love of Food and Drink! We are "Regulars." The food is always excellent with a great menu. The owners are friendly, and their staff is outstanding. This is a "Wells" treasure!

Wendy and her team truly went above and beyond as our catering vendor on our wedding day! Wendy has impeccable attention to detail, and made sure everything from my rehearsal to my signature drinks were perfect. I also love that they use local, seasonal ingredients in all their dishes, and they are familiar with a lot of other Maine vendors and venues. My guests were happy too! I truly could not have hired a better team, and this vendor is part of the reason I was able to relax and truly enjoy my wedding day :)

We're so glad For the Love of Food & Drink catered our wedding! The food was delicious and Wendy and Bill were so easy to work with. We did family-style and there was plenty of food and variety for everyone. We'd highly recommend them!

They catered my friends wedding and were late and pushed everything back. We were all standing outside in the pouring rain waiting to go inside for hors d’oeuvres. They weren’t nice either. They said she would get a refund because it was so bad, and she has yet to see that refund. .

For the Love of Food + Drink catered a celebration of life for my parents. Wendy was wonderful to communicte with and every detail was perfect We had an assortment of sandwiches and salads which were so good! Wendy and Will even provided desserts specific to our family as "favorites". They were professional yet intimate to our specific desires and reasonably priced.I will not hesitate to recommend them and will certainly contact them for any future events. Thanks Wendy and Will!

From the beginning of my wedding catering planning, Wendy and Bill made everything extremely easy and it made for a smooth planning process. We visited the restaurant prior and had a delicious brunch with family and Wendy went through everything with us. Everything went off without a hitch on our wedding day and 2 months later guests are still raving about the food! If you are looking for event catering, this is your spot! Thank you so much for everything!

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. Excellent food and wonderful service. Everyone is always super friendly. I found them 2 years ago, and make it a stop everytime I’m in Maine. You won’t regret the stop!

This place was amazing! The food was really good and the atmosphere was so nice. I went here with my friend for breakfast and we both had omelettes, they were huge and so delicious too. They came with home fries and toast. Mine was the vegetable one and it had red peppers, caramelized onions, mushrooms, broccoli, and summer squash with 3 or 4 different types of cheese. The prices were very reasonable too. The owner is very very nice. He came out of the kitchen to talk to my friend who was ordering take home meals. He made her 3 or 4 different meals for her and her husband to enjoy for dinner. I’ll definitely go back there again and highly recommend this restaurant. That’s why I gave it 5 stars.Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian choices on their menu.Dietary restrictions: If you have dietary restrictions they are happy to oblige you in whatever they may be just let them know when you order up front.Parking: The parking out front was convenient and easy to access.Kid-friendliness: This is definitely a family style restaurant they have many kid friendly items on their menu.Wheelchair accessibility: This is a great place for people with wheelchairs it has easy access at the entrance and plenty of room at the tables too.

If I could go back in time and hire a different caterer for our wedding, I would. We hired for the love of food and drink for our wedding (October 2023) back in January 2022. They were on our venues recommended vendors list. Wendy was pleasant at first and we were confident choosing them, as they had wonderful reviews. We went for a “taste testing” to find out that they don’t offer what’s on your dinner wedding menu, they have you taste test off of a brunch menu. This should have been red flag #1.We communicated multiple times thru email about the menu (confirming what was on it), confirming arrival time, and timeline of events. (Communications including week of wedding)Wendy’s team showed up at 1;30 with NO FOOD. Wedding was at 2:30 pm with cocktail hour starting at 3:15. Food finally showed up at 3:00, cold!!!! And then they wouldn’t allow guests into the cocktail hour area, because they were trying to heat the food, which left the guests in the pouring rain! The food was never heated properly and guests were served half raw hors d’oeuvres! Her team also didn’t bring our welcome station (apple cider and donuts), and guests kept asking me where they were! I was supposed to have passed apps and her team left them scattered on tables, where 1/2 the guests never got any apps. The wedding party didn’t get any apps and we were “guaranteed” a platter.Because of their late arrival- they pushed my dinner back an hour and a half, which pushed everything way off track!Let’s get to dinner- the food was cold. I’m talking inedible cold. Vegetables and ravioli were completely raw. The steak was freezing, the fish was soggy and cold.. horrible, I didn’t even eat. They also didn’t bring enough food for 100 guests ( we paid for 100 and only 90 people attended) guests were told “you get what you get”At dessert time, people grabbed their desserts and put them at their seats and then got up to dance. I had stopped Wendy’s team multiple times because they were throwing out FULL PLATES of desserts. Again, multiple guests came up to me asking where their plates went because they “just put them down and now they are gone”They were rude to my DOC & photographers, to me, my parents, and most importantly my guests the day of my wedding! I had multiple guests get sick after eating their food, as it was not served at correct temperatures.Wendy ACKNOWLEDGED the missing items and her staffs shortcomings a few days after the event and said she would send us a refund. 90 days later, still no refund. We have emailed her and she gives an excuse each time as to why she has not sent it, and has just ghosted us. We have proof of all of this in email. We wish we could go back in time and never hire them as a catering company. We would have been better ordering pizza for our main meal, at least it would have been hot and edible.Do not hire!
