It's a fun, memorable location. I like that it is atop a hill far from the busy freeway below—plenty of parking, outdoor/indoor seating, and a restroom out back. I wish I could say the same about the food. The fish in the fish and chips was bland and unremarkable, however, they had good tartar sauce. For the Dutch Krispie... well, let's just say it was the milkiest-tasting soft serve I've ever had but not in a good way.

Old time beside the highway eatery. Great food and drinks. Harkens back to an old time when places had character and did not have to be a cookie cutter shell of a restaurant offering food so consistent it tastes the same in every country you eat in.
The Dutch Treat offers charm with its two-window system of ordering. Orders written out on paper. With pen no less!
Is it perfect? No. The washroom could use some updating given the number of people that come to it.
Well worth the stop.

The staff was friendly and very helpful when explaining menu items. Place was clean didn't check out inside but there's a huge place to play tables outside and a swing set out back
Vegetarian options: My son son is gluten and dairy free. Was nice to see the options actual non dairy ice cream instead of just sorbet

Sweet, traditional roadside ice cream stop. Nice yard in the back with apple trees, swings, tent with tables. Try the Dutch Krispie as shown in picture - amazing!! A summer classic.
Great place to stop in the summer for burgers, shakes, and ice cream. Plenty of outdoor seating, and shade available as well.

Super cute place with great service and plenty of room for the kids to run in the grass and burn off some of that sugar! HOWEVER the burgers are definitely on the small side and the fries weren't crispy at all. They actually congealed together before we even got a chance to eat them, and we ate there at the tables, so...Maybe its because they were the garlic ones? But still... ick. ?Otherwise its great and will definitely come back... maybe just ask for fries to be fried double?
Kid-friendliness: Perfect for kids when they weather is nice! There is no indoor seating, so dont plan to eat there if its cold or rainy. But perfect on a summer afternoon!
Parking: Lots of space to park, but there REALLY need to block the driveway behind the restaurant to avoid cars from going through and running small children over.
