Great seafood near the river! We sat inside and get delicious fried calamari, clamps also lobster. Haddock fish was stunning!!
Great lobster, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Grew up with Lobster Trap, and I'm not disappointed to visit them once more.
The staff were great but it took an unusually long time for someone to even ask us for drinks. The place could be updated. The food wasn't anything to brag about, especially for the price. Don't order the potato wedges. Tasted like something from a public school cafeteria. The scallops where great and the view of the river was nice. Shrimp just didn't taste good. I wouldn't recommend eating here.
Had a friend from Texas come visit us here in Maine. Didn't want to drive to the coast so we went local to this place. He had the ultimate lobster roll and loved it. I had the small fried clams. Great place to check out.
Stopped by while on a road trip and found the Red Barn isn't open on Mondays. Clean and attractive if rather plain interior, with a deck that must be fantastic in warm months. Friendly, attentive service. The fisherman's platters were large and delicious, but I would probably stick with fried foods. I say this because the chowder had a very peculiar vinegary flavor to it, and no one who really understands chowder would put acidics in it. I also couldn't fathom why you would go to the expense of such EXCELLENT dinner rolls, like a miniature french bread that was crunchy outside and perfectly soft inside, and then serve it with "FAKE BUTTER," which is what those"spreads" are that come in the little plastic peel-away containers. Just an awful thing to do to a great piece of bread! Average value for the dollar.
the food was amazingly fresh. great experience over all
The service and food were good! I had the seafood platter: 1 small lobster claw, haddock (awesome), 4 shrimp, 4 scallops $26.99... The salmon was better $16.99
The service was awesome...9 people in our party all taken care of accurately and quickly. Food was incredible and the ones not so into Seafood had great alternatives. Was a very nice experience.
We had an awesome waitress, but I didn't think the lobster was anything special. Later, I found out that I just prefer crab to lobster. For anyone who has never had an entire lobster, just don't. Just the tail will do from now on. All those extra organs and such are simply unnecessary. Lobster rolls are the best thing in Maine, but the price seemed a little steep here. I realize most of my review does not pertain this actual business, but to the business of lobster as a food. The restaurant had an awesome view of the river, so definitely sit out back!
When we pulled up to a bare parking lot we were unsure. But the service was good and the food was delicious! We would come back our next visit!

Straight-forward seafood dinner with a nice view!
Had fried shrimp, haddock, scallops, and clams. Well done and tasty. Best scallops I've had. Had squash, coleslaw, and green beans that were all kinda bad. Good baked potato. Great entrees but sides need major work.
A nice restaurant, great food and service, beautiful scenery. Ate their twice, both delicious. Prices are a little high.
Great food and great service. We love to sit on the deck and enjoy overlooking the river while we eat. The prices are a little high compared to other establishments nearby but it is a seafood place.
Just got home from Dinner at the Lobster Trap in Winslow. The food was not bad except that the steak which was supposed to be mediam rare was
