Wonderful staff. Atmosphere was warm and casual. Food was very good. Had enough leftovers for another me. I am very sorry to see them go.

Disappointed, I figured a lobster roll near the coast would be fresh. Lobster meat in the lobster roll seemed over cooked or possibly reheated as it was really tough and rubbery, smelled strong and was yellow in color where it's typically white. Should've just went with the pie, that was good.

I have always loved going to Sarah's Cafe as the food was always great! However, on June 5, 2023 I was there and ordered the soup bar so I could have their haddock chowder which has always been excellent. On this day it was not. The chowder had very little fish in it and had been thickened way too much. It was tasteless and not at all what is usually served there. Today I read that Sarah, the owner, in retiring. I hope that the quality of food does not go downhill when she has retired.

Some stuff is too expensive. I just paid 40 dollars for a lobster calzone! 39 for a lobster roll on gluten free bread and they upcharged for wanting just lobster (the way a lobster roll should be) instead of the lobster salad where they stretch the meat with celery and other ingredients.I like a lot of the choices here and the food is good, not great. Adequate but over priced by 50% (at least on the items mentioned above)

We had a couple pizzas (Because Red's Lobster Rolls was closed 3 hours earlier that their web page said). They were yummy enough to box the leftovers with plans for the next day. The apple pie we split for dessert was scrumptious also. Later that evening I (the seafood pizza) was not feeling at all well. We did not risk the leftovers. So if you go, maybe stay away from the seafood pizza?

Wow how can a once fabulous place to eat go to one of the WORST meals I’ve ever only half eaten and paid WAY too much for? I’m a local and will be sharing my experience. Took out of state visitors much to what became my embarrassment after bragging the place up especially the desserts. Well someone needs to teach the cook how to make Haddock Florentine properly. And the once fabulous Mac and cheese was dried out with crunchy edges-no resemblance to the once best Mac and cheese around. Soup bar seemed to have not suffered and the iced tea and coffee were good. The desserts! A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! Got my to go ate a few bites and should have left it for trash. Ended up throwing away when I got home! Oh and did I mention how long we stood waiting for acknowledgment and a table at 4:30pm when place wasn’t even busy. NEVER AGAIN! Too many other fabulous choices in our mid coast area.

Our waitress was the sweetest, most personable waitress. She had red hair in braids. Good job Sarah's cafe hiring her! Wish I could remember her name. Salads were delicious as always.Dietary restrictions: Waitress very attentive to being gluten free. Appreciated her service!

The soup bar was just the thing for a cold night and two visiting Arizonans. Good bread, too. We had crab cakes and a lobster roll, also good. But the desserts were wonderful! Pecan Pie and apple crisp, warmed up with ice cream on top!

I'm a local. Grew up in Wiscasset and have eaten at Sarah's several times since the place opened. This was by far my worst visit ever. I understand everything takes a bit longer these days so the fact that there was a line for a seat wasn't surprising. My daughter and I sat at the bar which turned out to be a poor decision. Two of the beers "on tap" were out. The bartender didn't know which beer two of the companies was offering (Baxter and Sam Adams Seasonal). Okay. Not a big deal. I can say at least two other people came in and asked which offerings they were too though - not just me. We were the only two in the bar. It wasn't busy there. Waited almost a full hour for our food to come out and then it was only after we asked about it. I ordered backed salmon. It was a tiny piece of fish for $21 and it was cold. My daughter's crab cakes were cold too and only came out with one of the two sides. We took the second to go...

Fantastic lobster roll, overflowing with fresh lobster! Friendly, great service. Huge slices of homemade apple and blueberry pies were delicious! Nice water view was a bonus! Thank you!

Sign in front said Understaffed. My husband and I understand because everyone is understaffed ... however maybe the restaurant should consider seating less people if you don't have the staff to work. We ordered an appitizer which was good, but there were hardly any beer choices available and only a couple desserts. We were at the restaurant for over an hour with only ordering an appetizer and 2 drinks. We have heard great things from locals about this restaurant and were very disappointed we did not have a good experience. ?

Hands down, their blueberry pie is the best. So are there cookies. Great service, and we were there just for dessert, but it was very delicious. Thank you for an enjoyable meal.

Lobster roll was amazing! Green salad with raspberry vinaigrette was exceptionally tasty.Seating outside has a nice view of an hour long line of people waiting for food at the shack across the street:)
