Dockside Restaurant on York Harbor

Amazing service, food, and atmosphere! I had the scallop special and it was to die for! My fiancé got the stuffed lobster which was amazing and we had to try all of the desserts. Big portions and kind service.

We attended a wedding last Saturday at Dockside. I just wanted to compliment your excellent staff and chefs. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was very attentive. Thank you!

We had a wedding there this past weekend and the staff and service was top notch. Kendra was amazing with all the rehearsal and wedding needs. The hor d'oeuvres were excellent and always plentiful. We had the fish and that was excellent also. I highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding venue.

Love sitting in front of the water and boats. The food is always good and the chef has the best sauces for his food. Bar service is always exceptional.

Their website menu isn't accurate so don't count on getting what you want based on their website. Salad wasn't great, croutons were too hard to eat. Seafood trio wasn't very good. Lobster was all claw meat and overcooked, poor flavor. Scallops had weird hard parts, fish was ok. Dessert was ok but not great either. There was service issues as well. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and I wouldn't recommend.

Wedding Review Here! When we first began dreaming of our wedding, we knew two things would be key to a successful reception--dancing and food. When we stumbled across the Dockside Restaurant and realized we could book out the entire place, we couldn't believe our luck! Here are our top four reasons you should absolutely choose Dockside for your reception venue:
(1) The Food - Kendra and the team were eager to work with us to craft the perfect wedding menu. We have a lot of allergies as well as foodies in the family, and they balanced the desire for delicious food with perfect signature cocktails with the need to keep shellfish and gluten far away from a few guests. We ended up with about 120 guests, and they did a great job accommodating everything. This included mini-lobster rolls and oyster shooters with gazpacho as appetizers, HUGE portions of price rib, delicious fresh fish, a great vegan option (usually overlooked but not here!), and killer desserts.
(2) The View and Ambience - York Harbor at sunset is magical, and the Dockside is in a perfect spot to enjoy it. Everyone loved the expansive green lawn, the small rocky beach, the cute gazebo, and the long dock that puts you among the sailboats. Our guests enjoyed the grounds so much, some of them almost missed the start of dinner. Dockside itself does their beautiful location justice with large, floor to ceiling windows that let you gaze at the water as the sun went down, and an enclosed porch that meant our guests could take a break from the dance floor without feeling as if they were leaving party. As a bonus, the Dockside's floor plan makes it ideal for a dancing.
(3) The Staff - We worked with two, wonderful event coordinators due to a long engagement. Our first, Heather, helped put us at ease by walking us through rainy day plans, confirming our choice of DJ, and introducing us to the Dockside's expansive menu. Our second event coordinator, Kendra was as enthusiastic as we were about our event! She helped us work out a plan for all the allergies, and coordinated the special touches mentioned below. All our servers were wonderful! They were attentive, fast, and so kind!! It was clear that everyone on the staff wanted us to feel good and for the event to go smoothly.
(4) Special Touches - Kendra helped us plan two signature cocktails and one signature mocktail at no extra cost! The venue was accommodating of our using a school bus to pick up and drop off our guests. And we took the option of extending our night by an hour--and all of our servers stayed through the entire event!
If you are considering the Dockside for your wedding reception then look no further - this is the place!
PS. We had our ceremony at a different location, but we are confident that Kendra and the group would also do a fabulous job hosting that, too. The view of the harbor is gorgeous and they have a comprehensive rainy day plan. So much so that they were actually our rain location despite our ceremony being elsewhere.

The Dockside restaurant hosted the cocktail hour and reception for our wedding. The grounds were stunning and the staff made our guests feel so comfortable. The restaurant was clean, with a beautiful view of the marina. We reserved the deck room and we’re able to decorate it to our liking. The food was absolutely delicious. The chef was willing to accommodate special requests to the menu. I communicated with Kendra for months leading up to the wedding. She was able to answer all of my questions and help me plan the wedding of my dreams. As an out of state bride, I appreciated how seamless the planning process was. Our 30 guests stayed right on site in the guest quarters. The ceremony was on the ocean front lawn, followed by the lawn party cocktail hour and reception in the restaurant. It was so convenient for our guests to have everything all in one space. Our wedding at the Dockside was intimate, calm and dreamy. If you are looking for a place to have a wedding that your guests will rave about, I can’t recommend the Dockside enough!

I have loved coming to dockside my past 2 summers in Maine. Beautiful views and great food. I’ve had Lexi as my serve the other night and she was so personable and attentive to me and my family’s needs. We will definitely come back next season and recommend to our friends.

Our son and daughter in law were married there this past June. There are rooms available as well as the surrounding area. It was a gorgeous day a couple of showers staff had the tables set up dried off. The chairs for the service dried off. The ceremony was beautiful uncle of the bride made a gorgeous arbor that had a back drop of the ocean. It is so beautiful there the staff were excellent and plentiful.There were appetizers so good I could have made a meal with Spring rolls and lobster rolls.Thankfully I saved room for the short rib dinner delicious. Kendra the wedding planner was invaluable making this the best night of their lives. The dance floor was full with doors to the back porch open to look over the ocean. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants the best experience you could have by the ocean. Thanks to the staff all of you we appreciated the professionalism. We definitely will try the restaurant someday we are up that way.
