Dunne’s Ice Cream in York Beach, ME is hands down one of my favorite stops whenever I’m in the area! They have an incredible selection of flavors — truly something for everyone — and every scoop tastes rich, fresh, and perfectly creamy.
I have a special place in my heart for their Maine Whoopie Pie and Chocolate Oreo Moose flavors — both are absolutely delicious and perfectly capture that classic Maine sweetness with a fun twist. The portions are generous, the service is always friendly, and the atmosphere has that perfect seaside charm that makes every visit feel like summer.

They are NOT OPEN when they say they are. Drove miles out of our way to go there, and they were closed 30 .minutes before pisted closing time. COMPLETELY UNDEPENDABLE.

I love their cookie dough ice cream! There's nothing quite like it and it's been the highlight of my summer since I was a little girl. The staff are friendly, and it's a beautiful location to enjoy a cone. My one suggestion, though, is that they find a way to make the queue more orderly (e.g., stanchions/barrier ropes) because there are unfortunately some patrons without the decency to respect a line, and as someone who is generally nonconfrontational, I've ended up leaving and getting ice cream elsewhere out of frustration with so many people cutting in.

When i was a kid there was Browns but now Dunnes is carrying on the tradition of tremendous homemade ice cream.
