Let's get the positives up front: Flo's is an adorable little hole-in-the-wall Hot Dog Stand that is run by a cadre of pros who are both friendly and efficient. It's famous for their unique relish+mayo +celery-salt topping that is a nice change of pace from most sandwich garnishes.
There's one little problem: their weiners really bite, but not in a good way. The quality of any hot dog starts with the quality of the meat, and Flo's are bargain-basement supermarket variety. Sabretts and Nathan's in New York didn't become legends because of their toppings. They serve millions every year because of their rich beefy taste. Flo's dogs really ARE dogs. Sorry, but it's true. The price may be right, the toppings good, but these hot dogs leave me cold.

Moved to California 10 years ago after living near Ogunquit. Only get back 3 times a year and NEVER leave w/o visiting my beloved FLO'S. Was happily there last week. HAPPINESS!

Perfect hole in the wall locals spot. Loved my dog with flo’s secret special relish. I had the loaded! Sweet people greeting you! It is what it is, a wonderful steamed hot dog with amazing toppings!

New system where you order then go to a holding area to wait for your hot dogs. My order took 25 minutes. I guess I'llnever come back for lunch hour again

Amazing experience. Had the Flo’s hot ddigs and they were delicious - I had a third one for dessert. Parking is tricky but you’re fine if you take your time backing out.
For the past 26 years everytime I've past Flo's I intended to go there. Well the day finally came when I followed through. I got two of the Flo Dogs and they were as good as everyone to me they would be. Flo's relish, mayo and celery salt made for a great dog. Expect this Maine staple to be busy but its worth the wait...
