Portions are great, food is incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared for incredible combinations, and variations of everything from swordfish or salmon, to Sage Encrusted Tofu, to veggie grilled salads to pork chops specials, Vegan and vegetarian options are plentiful. Fresh baked rolls and a salad (like you’ve never seen before) arrive before the meal and their Caesar salad is unlike any other restaurants. While you’re deciding, you’ll likely have an opportunity to meet the owner and their daughters. My wife and I visit this restaurant at least 6-7 times a season in addition to anytime we have guests visiting. We’ve also made this our go to place for our evening dinner before our condo board meetings at the end of each season. Please go out of your way to visit this establishment and enjoy family meal surrounded by an even more awesome family- including the owners Chef John Shaw and his wife Thea. By the way, if you don’t have room for dessert, take some to go, or try harder to fit it in you won’t regret it. Be sure to make a reservation. It always helps them prepare for your arrival.

We have been coming to Frankie and Johnny’s nearly every summer since 2013. The food is all made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. Everything always tastes great. The house salad is amazing and full of unique fruit and vegetable combos. This year my wife and I tried the blackened halibut special, and it was excellent. Also, for being a higher-end restaurant, this place accommodates children very well. They have some off menu children’s items, and they are also willing to split menu items into two plates to make kid sized portions.
This place deserves more recognition! We got there as it opened for an early dinner and we were greeted with a friendly staff and seated us right away (no reservations) - one of the greeters was their friendly dog! Afterwards we were introduced to the menu: being plant based, we were able to order so many meals, from starter to main course! We were so full at the end that we couldn’t order dessert, but I’m certain that the dessert menu would have been great! Overall, I recommend Frankie & Johnny’s to anyone, especially if your diet is plant-based considering they have vegan options being served (refer to my pictures).

We always make a point of dining here when they are open. The meals are so fresh and delicious! The restaurant is small and quaint, make a reservation to guarantee a spot!! I love their house salad with blueberry dressing- crave it actually! Large portions- you shouldn’t leave hungry!

We had a wonderful meal here during our recent trip to Ogunquit. The food was excellent; lots to choose from for food and drink options. Everything tasted fresh and delicious; you could tell the food was made with care. The portions were very generous too. The wait staff was lovely, attentive and cheerful. This place is a gem.
