My daughters and I have to come here every time we travel to Boston we make the drive to York. We absolutely love everything about this place, the location, the atmosphere, the food, all of it!
We eat at Lobster Cove every year, and normally we like it very much, but this year was the exception. This time I got a lobster roll and it was not great, mainly because the lobster was chopped up into tiny pieces and there was shredded lettuce in the roll. I've never seen lobster in a lobster roll chopped up so small and it was unsatisfying, especially since it was 33 American Dollar Bills! I don't mind paying for good food, but this bummed me out. Bomb . Com. If you're in York, don't bother going to a different seafood joint. This place is off the HOOK, pun intended. Wife got the clam chowder and fried clams. Both featured giant clams with generous portions. The fries were mid tier, could use some work.
I got the buffalo tenders and steamed mussels dish. Both were excellent and just what I needed after time in Portland eating at fine dining/creative experiences. Nothing wrong with some classics....
