Love the look of the restaurant, and scenic views. The seating was very comfy and there is an elevator acces for those who are physically challanged. We had the loaded nachos, a margarita pizza, a chicken bacon pizza and the fish n chips. Our drinks were Buck brew, a rum and coke, rum punch and a spicy margarita. The nachos and margarita pizza were good. The chicken bacon ranch pizza was pretty dry and not so good. I did not get any reviews from the fish n chips. I am not a big drinker and usually have to pace myself with one, but we all commented that these drinks seemed lite on the alcohol. The buck brew was not great but drinkable. The spicy margarita was sent back because it was too heavy on the marg mix and not so spicy. We didn't get the greatest vibe from our waitress, but who can say what kind of a day she may have been having.

My family rented an Air BNB above the bar for a long weekend. Decided to stop in after a long day in Portland to watch Sunday night football. We walked in at 6:30 and when we walked into the restaurant we saw 10 people sitting at the bar. The bartender stopped me and said “I’m sorry we are closed”. I asked her what about the 10 people at the bar? She again said we are closed. So I asked if we can just have a drink to take up to our room? Again we were told no. If you are closed lock the door and don’t serve other people. I should have known from other people’s reviews. I’ll never go there again. Plenty of places to go for good food and service.

I recently visited this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the cozy ambiance. You have the option to sit inside or on the balcony. Since it was a beautiful day, most people wanted balcony seating, which led to a 20-minute wait, but we opted to sit inside, and it was just as lovely.
We tried two different burgers, both cooked to perfection with juicy meat. The meals came with fries and a side of salted cucumber, which was a nice touch. Kids' meals are priced at $9.99, and the burgers range from $16 to $20. Overall, it was a great experience with solid food and a nice atmosphere!

Doing renovation so outside was unattractive. Been eating mussells for 9 years now in Maine and these folks have the BEST I have ever had. Got there at closing and got some carry out even though the kitchen closed

My girlfriend and I are visiting from Florida. We came here with a family of 9 after The zoo. We were hangry, they sat us down quick and got food on the table even faster. Apps, wings and sticky ribs were good.

We stopped by for lunch yesterday with a large party of twelve and everyone was very pleased with meals. A couple people had the awesome blackened Ahi tuna, the Mediterranean Bowl, Falafel burger and the Mac and Cheese. Our large party was comfortably seated and even the kids had a blast. Definitely recommend.

Our experience could not have been worse. Hosts at the stand treated us like subhumans because we weren't an obnoxious party of 20 from MA, but we put our names in for a seat for 2. We were told 20 to 25 minutes. 45 go by. We were waiting in the game room, which would be kind of neat, except all it seems to be is a place for families to let their kids run wild and alcoholics to yell as loud as they can. We then went to the bar to get a couple drinks; the bartender was cool, but not 5 minutes after we sat down at a table in the barroom someone came in and started taking *all* the chairs. They said they had to because it gets 'too crowded' if they leave seats in. We left, and will never be back.
So, to summarize, this place is ideal for you if you're either a tourist or alcoholic whose time has no value and don't really care how you're treated. Or maybe you have kids you want to let loose like it's a McDonald's Playplace to annoy everyone around. Otherwise, avoid at all costs. There's better bars, too; the Union Bluff is next door and a far wiser choice.

Though overcrowded you can see why the Sand Dollar would be popular with the 21-25 crowd, though the age range of patrons was 21-90. Went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. Live music, full bar and low lighting, the type of place I would have loved 15 years ago. Old me found it too loud, too dark and too crowded ?♂️
