Stones Throw Hotel and Restaurant

The cleanest hotel I have ever had!! perfect view, balcony and all. Premium feel, great value, mini fridge, premium coffee maker, water pot, compost and recycling, new linen, brand new towels and blankets. Receptionist was polite, staff were cordial and warming. Bathroom was phenomenal very well put together!!

Stones Throw offers a dining experience that is hard to beat, thanks to its stunning views of the ocean. The atmosphere is both relaxing and scenic, making it perfect for a sunset dinner or a laid-back lunch by the water. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, contributing to the overall pleasant experience.

A standout feature is their cocktail selection, with my personal favorite being the Mercury in Retrograde. It's a drink that’s as unique as its name—perfectly balanced, refreshing, and a must-try.

If you're looking for a place with great food, drinks, and a spectacular view, Stones Throw is an excellent choice.

A room with a (no, not ocean) utility pole view

Very disappointing 2-night stay in June to attend a wedding at the Viewpoint hotel. Small room, steep staircase, view of the utility pole directly in front of the window, noise and kitchen smells from the restaurant, thin walls (clearly audible conversations in the neighboring room), very unhelpful staff (package delivery/wedding gift to the hotel address required Viewpoint Hotel intervention to get picked up from the local post office), highly overpriced.

The restaurant was the biggest surprise of our York, ME vacation...I don't usually get enthusiastic about salads, but... The Dilly? Amazing...I had it twice. Other stand-outs were the Bang Bang Broccoli, and the Sheet Pan Share. So nice to find a restaurant that creates vegetarian dishes with equal thoughtfulness.

Called and ask if there was a wait they said no wait, got in car drove there ( we live 5 minutes away) paid our 8 dollars to park was told nolonger taking people.Bad communications from there people who answer phones.

Came for dinner and was pleasantly surprised! Probably the best dinner we had while visiting York. I’ve been coming since I was a kid but now appreciate this spot as an adult. The chicken sandwich was a top 5 fried chicken sandwich I’ve had, absolutely stacked high with chicken, bacon, and cheese. The lobster roll was tasty, only 4oz, but certainly cooked to perfection. Beautiful sea side views of the ocean.

This place is #1 on our list for trips to Maine. We actually drove 4 hours because of how fabulous Stones Throw is. The food is sooo good. We’ve had several meals here and made a second trip just weeks apart. We booked the Nevada and never left the block. The best gluten free bread my sweetheart has ever had. Lobster rolls called us back! You do not leave here hungry! The portions are too much! And the bill….i checked to see if they forgot to charge something that we ordered. It didn’t seem like enough.

I had the Salad Niçoise with chicken. It was absolutely the most delicious and lovingly assembled salad I have ever eaten. The attention to the freshness of the vegetables, the quantities of each ingredient, the perfect size and texture of the beans and potatoes was unmatched I swear anywhere but in Nice, France itself. So good.

Oh yes, and my husband had the fish and chips and was amazed at the freshness as well as the quantity on his plate! This place deserves

Noteworthy details: Despite being in a super busy spot with high foot traffic, bathrooms are clean, the whole place looks and smells fresh. Very friendly, helpful staff
