Been coming to the Goldenrod since I was a kid, and my grandparents for many years before that, as my grandmother had gone to school with original owner (I think) Mr. Boston. The food is simple but good, the ice cream is stellar, the peanut butter Kisses are the best, and the atmosphere is charming (never change it!). One of the best things is watching the taffy pulling on the old machines from the windows outside!

Our server was most gracious and helpful, coming by multiple times for coffee refills and the like. Lovely! Their blueberry strudel is to die for, especially with butter. Perfect for breakfast!

We love Goldenrod! Its a must stop while in the York Beach area. Soda fountain, pulled taffy. Takes you back to when you were a kid! Good Lil uncharted spot. Great chowder.

Went to the restaurant earlier on a Saturday, didn’t have much of a wait. The ambiance is pretty cool, love the old wood. Food is affordable and good for the money! Omelettes are kinda Crepe like which I enjoyed.
Only issue I had was the spacing of the tables/chairs. It wasn’t busy when we went but I can see it being an issue with wait staff trying maneuver to each table. Other than that, good experience! And of course stop and get some chocolates after :)
