Been coming to the Goldenrod since I was a kid, and my grandparents for many years before that, as my grandmother had gone to school with original owner (I think) Mr. Boston. The food is simple but good, the ice cream is stellar, the peanut butter Kisses are the best, and the atmosphere is charming (never change it!). One of the best things is watching the taffy pulling on the old machines from the windows outside!
Our server was most gracious and helpful, coming by multiple times for coffee refills and the like. Lovely!
Their blueberry strudel is to die for, especially with butter. Perfect for breakfast!
