This fine establishment is no longer called "The Cove" since ownership changed July of '24, and is now called Devil's Lake Bar & Grill. So technically this review is for the latter.
This is a great place for all ages, the food is delicious (especially the smoked meat, steaks, and rodeo burger!) and the waitstaff is friendly and helpful, going the extra mile for every customer. Both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are refreshing and delightfully cold, especially the frozen cocktails! My personal favorite is the "sweet water" - so addictive! It's a must-have for those aged 21+.
The atmosphere is familiar and comfortable with a decent sized bar, pool table and dart board, a side room for bigger groups of patrons, a small stage for karaoke/live music etc, they also have an ATM available.
There's a spacious outdoor, fenced in patio with it's own "wooden speed boat" bar, ladderball (cornhole boards coming soon!), plenty of tables and chairs, all with umbrellas that pivot. It has a very cool boat sail inspired sunshade/awning overhead, and even has a quaint little bonfire ring in the back corner?
There are many changes being made to upgrade the place and turn it from a good bar, to a GREAT bar AND restaurant!!!

Stopped here for first time after golfing uo the road. What a great surprise. The half pound cheeseburger and fries were one of the best I've ever had. Friendly service and super cold beer.

We visited as a large group from out of town - a university race team competing at nearby MSI. This stop was the best one of our week. Food was awesome, service for 30 of us was excellent; and we all sang karaoke for hours. Awesome steaks and great vibe. We will be bravo next year!!
Steak was a cheap cut, over cooked, and definitely wasn't a ribeye. They took $2 off of the bill for a nasty tasting steak. Drinks were $3 a couple of weeks ago. Go again, and they are 4.50. I went at the same time of day and same day of the week. Chairs are uncomfortable. Staff is nice and the place is nice to hang out at. I found a nicer spot to go to.

Place was absolutely ridiculous and yes only cares about the regulars. I had a group of 6 and when it was me and my two other friends, it took forever for service and if u weren’t at the bar asking for them they wouldn’t even look at you. Our food took forever and people were getting there’s way before us that ordered and got there way after us. I had 2 drinks and I feel absolutely terrible after. They don’t know their pour game at all. Or how to make drinks. Absolutely do not recommend if u aren’t from the area or go there often.

This place could have new regular customers since my husband and I live not that far but the only thing they care about is their regular customers not getting new ones! My husband and I were sitting at a table for like 10 minutes while the table behind us got there about the same time as us got their drinks and food order and we didn’t even get as much as a glance! Might want give new customers as much attention as your regulars
