The Depot is a peaceful and nostalgic restaurant in the heart of Alanson. The food is very quality and the portions more than adequate. The building is historic is you have an affinity for such things such as me. My waitress Kiara, was a very pleasant you women who provided prompt and friendly service. She checked in enough times to make sure you didn't feel forgotten, but not to many times that you had to chew quickly to respond to questions. Family friendly and great selections...
My wife and I stopped for dinner during our bike trip. We just happened to stop and take a chance on this restaurant . We were pleasantly impressed by the friendliness of the staff, notably Amanda and Alex. Our food was served quickly for a Friday night. My wife had the prime rib which was a generous portion. And I had the Cajun chicken. They were both presented very well and both dishes were delicious.
There were some really nice selections on the menu. Not quite haute cuisine but really good choices. The salad I had was wonderful. Several different kinds of beer other than the usual. All in all a really good experience.
