I was scammed into coming here under the guise it would be “Torch lake brewing company”. This place felt like a townie bar that serves frozen food fresh from the microwave. Extremely over priced and they can’t be bothered to wash plates since they serve on paper plates.

Great up north spot for smash burgers and apps! Not gonna lie… the salad was actually fire, and the smash burger hit the spot with that chipotle aioli. Cheese curds were interesting, though a few items didn’t make it to the table. Overall, a solid time… you won’t regret stopping by!

Another year and this place seems yet again reborn. Had a great meal with a beer and the staff was wonderful. A very pleasant experience and clearly the best bar in Alden.

My wife and I visited for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. We were told to sit anywhere. We were provided coffee and menus in a timely manner. The restaurant was not busy but there were a number of tables full. I saw 2 servers. My wife ordered and omelet and I ordered a standard 2 eggs over easy, 2 sausage, hashbrowns and toast breakfast. The eggs were cooked well. The sausages were mild and cooked well and the hashbrowns were cooked crispy on the outside and tender inside. If I had to be picky, they only served me 1 slice of toast cut in half. My wife liked her omelet and it was so large she couldn't eat it all. I tasted the sausage gravy that was on her omelet and it was good. Sausage taste, good consistency and not too salty. I'd go back.
