“This place is fabulous! Went today for my wedding cake tasting. Ruthann was very accommodating and kind. She provided us with a few types of cupcakes to try and accommodated for my gluten free guests.The cupcakes were absolutely delicious. My future father in law keeps talking about how good the wedding cake flavor cupcake was. The buttercream is her own special recipe and great. We look forward to the wedding, knowing that our guests will love the cake and cupcakes!”

“Lavender Vodka?! Say what?! Simply decorated just enough to feel that ambiance of a warm distillery. We sat at the bar and dabbled in the Lavender spritz and a Manhattan. Both were excellent and left us wanting more. The bartender wasn't super chatty even when we tried to make conversation. Maybe he was just having an off day, but nonetheless he made great cocktails. Definitely worth the stop if you are I. The area.”

“Ethanology is always a great spot to grab a cocktail. Their menu is always really creative and they source local ingredients to make their drinks and spirits. The bartender today gave us two tastings of their gin and barrel aged gin after chatting about it. Everyone who works here is always very personable and passionate about the spirits. My husband and I are not fans of gin typically, but we would definitely drink the gin here. We always love to sit in the loft area with some games and cool decor.”

“Called in an order for pickup and I didn't realize that they weren't open yet. I mentioned that we had skipped lunch but understood that they didn't actually open until 4PM. The person who answered the phone (I'm assuming she was the owner) kindly offered to make our food early so that it would be ready when the place opened. Now, that's just one reason why we are already fans of this place. The second reason is the FOOD. We ordered the Mongolian beef bowl and pork sliders. Both were absolutely tasty! We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem in Bellaire as we are new to the area. Needless to say, we will be back to try their other eclectic dishes in the very near future. Customer service goes a long way in my book. And when it's backed up by delicious food...well, what can I say, this is a place you do not want to pass up. P.S. Sorry that there aren't any pictures of the food. We were famished and gobbled it right down. =)”

“Been here both just with my husband and tonight with a large group and they have always been excellent with the food and service. Very accommodating when available and the food is very good. Highly recommend the brisket but it's hard to go wrong! The "trash can" nachos are so much fun, and delicious!! The vibe is chill, but not trashy. Definitely a sports bar with what's on TV and the decor but anyone can have a great time. Good for families, couples or grabbing a drink while catching a game yourself. Will definitely be back!!”

“I was overwhelmed with gratitude when stopping into the Dam Shop yesterday. The attentive service offered by Mike the manager and other employees was pleasantly surprising. Mike was extremely welcoming and took extra time and effort to accommodate my daughter’s food sensitivities. Also, we have ALWAYS had wonderful experiences with the baristas - Sarah, Emily and Audi - love them! Their friendly and helpful nature goes a long way. “GO HERE NOW!!! Bill and Kristin are absolutely wonderful! Their store has something for everyone and they are helpful, friendly and their products are unique and delicious. My girlfriends and I stopped in while on a weekend trip and spent probably forty five minutes in the store smelling spices and drinking their delicious teas. This is the first time I was able to clear out off the food on my plate with the exception of the cinnamon spears I ordered last minute. However we were surprised when we got our check and saw that if you pay with cash it costs less than using a card. I know some businesses do that to cover card fees but they should at least tell you that when you sit down for your meal.”

“The price is too good to pass up. The absolute best smash burger you can get in Elk Rapids. Much better than the simple hidden valley ranch seasoned smash burgers served elsewhere. The owner is actually very friendly, shows no signs of bipolar disorder and is not entitled like another restraunt owner nearby. The food here is ALWAYS consistent.”
