“I love this place. Very rarely do you get to experiencing a paired tasting at an affordable price. Every employee was enthusiastic about the brand and was very knowledgeable. Nothing is worse than going to a winery/brewery/distillery and the server has no clue about the label. Will be returning! Please check this place out!!!”

“Ethanology is always a great spot to grab a cocktail. Their menu is always really creative and they source local ingredients to make their drinks and spirits. The bartender today gave us two tastings of their gin and barrel aged gin after chatting about it. Everyone who works here is always very personable and passionate about the spirits. My husband and I are not fans of gin typically, but we would definitely drink the gin here. We always love to sit in the loft area with some games and cool decor.”

“I was overwhelmed with gratitude when stopping into the Dam Shop yesterday. The attentive service offered by Mike the manager and other employees was pleasantly surprising. Mike was extremely welcoming and took extra time and effort to accommodate my daughter’s food sensitivities. Also, we have ALWAYS had wonderful experiences with the baristas - Sarah, Emily and Audi - love them! Their friendly and helpful nature goes a long way. “For more than 50 years the Town Club has been serving Elk Rapids fine good and drink. The renovation is fantastic, modern with small town charm. Just had dinner 4/24/23, still great. Try the Home Run burger!”

“The price is too good to pass up. The absolute best smash burger you can get in Elk Rapids. Much better than the simple hidden valley ranch seasoned smash burgers served elsewhere. The owner is actually very friendly, shows no signs of bipolar disorder and is not entitled like another restraunt owner nearby. The food here is ALWAYS consistent.”

“Had dinner with family at the Foundry Craft Grillery in Elk Rapids. Food was delicious and our server was wonderful. They had a trivia night and we participated and it was fun. “How have we missed this place? So glad we stopped in to try Chang Express. The server was nice and did such a great job explaining the sauces and dishes. We ordered one dish and told her to surprise us with one of her favorites. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Rice was great, the hotness was perfect for me at a level 5. We are already talking about going back to try some other dishes. So glad we made the stop.”

“This place is right off of 131, we visited in the off reason and mostly had the place to ourselves. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning (food splashes on the wall of the booth and artwork), the menu is a bit expensive ($20 for a burger) but overall our food was good. The salmon was slightly overcooked and the presentation could have been better, but it’s a great location with a nice ambiance.”

“First off, the greeting at arrival is outstanding! We were welcomed at our table promptly and offered water and a drink option, we loved all the local selections. To say the meal was fabulous is an understatement! I highly recommend the scallops and risotto. Everything was just fantastic and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. But the Acme store is always on point everyone there is super friendly and always in a good mood And they also have the very very best antipasto salad. It does not matter what you get it is all awesome. But my suggestion get extra cheese on any pizza....”

“This restaurant is very good. The service was excellent. Calamari appetizer was fairly good. My salmon entree with risotto was very good. The salmon had a nice glaze on it and a very tasty crumble which added flavor. My second trip had a delicious salmon chowder, bacon wrapped shrimp which had a great flavor to it, and a very tasty and tender short rib. My partner got prime rib dip and smoked chicken Gouda pasta and was very pleased. You won’t regret coming here. Only thing I’m not a fan of was the side salad (house or Caesar) - just a normal, simple plate of lettuce with a few toppings, but it is $9. Way too expensive.”

We had the filet that was delicious and perfectly cooked as well as the half rack of ribs and fries. We had the french onion soup for an appetizer and it was yummy. “This place was great!! We had low expectations being that it was after 1:30am in a casino but it was the only thing open. The chili cheese fries and fish and chips were great!! The workers were so friendly even though it was close to closing time. And we ended up coming back the next day to eat there again during the day even though we had other choices because the food was as good as and it was good again! We will be back.”

“Old mansion has some ghostly tails which may not even be true after all. With that said that place ghost’s stories or not is still a spooky place. No one has a bad thing to say about the food or the drinks. Staff is great , very helpful.”
