I stopped in here on a whim because I had seen their matchas online. I am not a matcha girl, but I want to be soooo bad (LOL) so I wanted to try theirs! Sam helped me out and was so kind, patient (I had a lot of questions) and accommodating! He explained to me all the options of matcha and how it’s made, how it should taste, etc., and gave me all the run downs I asked for. I stopped in today and met Sam, one of the owners and a fellow Wayne State alum. He has a wonderful personality that perfectly matches the welcoming business he’s operating. I enjoyed a great-tasting iced coffee, a delicious slice of banana bread, and the chance to relax in the café’s calm, comfortable atmosphere as I waited for my order. I’m excited and plan to go back when I'm in the area, and I definitely recommend this spot to other Warriors and neighbors.

I was so excited to see a new coffee spot pop up and Maruu didn't disappoint.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I arrived early in the morning before the rush.

The space is cozy and quiet. Plenty of plugs for your devices. The chairs were really comfy. But let's get to the reason I came! THE COFFEE! I ordered an iced Spanish latte. It was one of the best coffees I've had in a long time. It was balanced and smooth.
