“First time stopping at The Rustic Bluebird in Almont... I have wanted to stop here forever. On my way to my cottage in Caseville. Ordered the Turkey Ruben(as suggested by Deena) ....Finally got to dive into this absolutely amazing sandwich. OMG...the Turkey..... the sauce....it is perfect. I will be back and I will certainly spread the word. Hats off to you all.”

“How was this place not packed on a Saturday afternoon? We’re from Texas and at first my husband didn’t want to eat here because he didn’t want to be “disappointed” when their BBQ didn’t stack up to what we’re used to. We decided to try it anyway and I’m SO glad we did! We started with the Beer Cheese Tots. They were phenomenal! We’ve had our fair share of “soggy” tots. It can happen when you drench them in cheese but these tots were crunchy to the last bite. Topped with beer cheese and green onions, we couldn’t stop eating them! My husband ordered the Brisket French Dip. He said it was delicious! I ordered a Two Meat BBQ Tray with two sides. I chose Mac&Cheese and Loaded Potato Salad. My brisket was thick with a beautiful smoke ring. It was fork tender and super yummy. My pulled pork was great as well. The star of the show was the mac&cheese! Honestly, I’m as picky about my mac&cheese as I am about my BBQ. I was honestly expecting the usual bland dish put out by most restaurants, but to my great surprise this was not the case! This dish was cheesy and garlicky and hit the spot! Easily one of my favorite versions of Mac&Cheese! The potato salad was good for Mayo potato salad. Being from the south, I whole heartedly believe all potato salad should be mustard based, but I get food isn’t the same everywhere so I let that slide. 🙂 Honestly, the waitress did disclose that it wasn’t mustard based before I ordered it, so I knew exactly what I was getting. One kiddo ordered the kids sliders, another ordered a grilled cheese and the third ordered an adult salad (he’s obsessed with salads right now). They all said their food was yummy and the salad kid was literally trying to shovel it into his mouth so as not to leave any behind. 😂 The portions were HUGE and after taking home leftovers, my BBQ plate has fed me for three full meals! The staff was super nice, the drinks were great, the music was right up our ally and we had a fantastic time here. I’m still shocked that this place wasn’t packed! If you haven’t tried this gem, do it now! We’re staying about 45 min south of Almont, but are seriously considering a second trip up just to eat here again before we go home!”

“I have heard great things about their cakes so I stopped in yesterday last minute to get a cake for my daughter’s birthday. Cherry chip double layer and it was amazing! Cake was delicious and best frosting ever. The lady who decorated it did a wonderful job and we will definitely be back for our cake needs in the future!”

I wish I had grabbed the gentleman’s name who served us but he was great (working evening of 9/11)! Enthusiastic, friendly, quick, met a couple of my requests etc. I told him he was great and promised I’d do a review. The facility was small but clean. Thanks so much- we will be back.”

“The store was perfect and clean. The staff noticed I was paying with change. So after I ordered (I have 7 kids) the manager comped our meal and gave us an extra ice cream and extra root beers and little toys for the kids. They were above and beyond and the best service I've ever had. Thank you! And the food was the bomb of course

“When I first walked into McDonald’s in Almont because I applied online the employee asked me can they help me. I told Michael E that I applied for a job online. He said please let me check. He came back and wanted me to fill out an application. I did and then gave my application to Athena G. Also the person who was cleaning the floors at McDonald’s was very nice and that was Kris P. After all this to place, the person who took my application I told her that I wanted the three people that were very nice, helpful, friendly and help me out. I think these people should be awarded for helping me out who has a disability. After leaving, I said to myself, I wish I could work there because everyone since nice to each other. That’s the way companies employee should be to each other. Thank you McDonald’s for doing great work and keeping your customers happy. That is how you do business in today’s world. I had chicken added to my power bowl and they offered to cut it up for me after I asked for a knife. Very polite, friendly and very cute interior. Will definitely be back! “These people that give these one star reviews like they’re passing out candy at Halloween. Do you realize that these small business people put their heart and their soul. Their investment into their business. And reviews are very important. Just because you’re not happy with something you don’t have to publicly try to crucify their business that’s cruel. You’re probably a bunch of employees of somebody you don’t give a rats a** about how difficult it is to be a small business person. People I can tell you this from the bottom of my heart. Golden Buddha and I’ve been going there ever since it’s opened up. Has the best pad Thai I’ve ever tasted. And they work their butts off over there they are very small business usually one lady and a waitress. You have to be somewhat understanding if your service isn’t perfect. Or if your meal is wrong. Once in a while no one’s perfect. But I can tell you from my experience going there over 30 times I’ve never had a bad meal. And yeah the owner can get testy she has with me but I understand. Generally she’s protecting her interest and I get that. But that only happened one time and it was probably my fault. Highly recommend this place”

“I have been coming to the silver grill for many years. I was coming as a child with my family and it's just been a favorite place of mine so I keep on going. They have worked around my dietary needs while I breastfed. They have always been very welcoming and friendly every visit.”
