“We drive 52 minutes to eat here while passing many other Mexican food options. We actually stumbled upon it on our way to vacation in St Clair last October. We have been back 5-6 times since. It really is worth the drive and has become our favorite Mexican restaurant. Very friendly staff. Very clean restaurant. Amazing fresh food.”

“How was this place not packed on a Saturday afternoon? We’re from Texas and at first my husband didn’t want to eat here because he didn’t want to be “disappointed” when their BBQ didn’t stack up to what we’re used to. We decided to try it anyway and I’m SO glad we did! We started with the Beer Cheese Tots. They were phenomenal! We’ve had our fair share of “soggy” tots. It can happen when you drench them in cheese but these tots were crunchy to the last bite. Topped with beer cheese and green onions, we couldn’t stop eating them! My husband ordered the Brisket French Dip. He said it was delicious! I ordered a Two Meat BBQ Tray with two sides. I chose Mac&Cheese and Loaded Potato Salad. My brisket was thick with a beautiful smoke ring. It was fork tender and super yummy. My pulled pork was great as well. The star of the show was the mac&cheese! Honestly, I’m as picky about my mac&cheese as I am about my BBQ. I was honestly expecting the usual bland dish put out by most restaurants, but to my great surprise this was not the case! This dish was cheesy and garlicky and hit the spot! Easily one of my favorite versions of Mac&Cheese! The potato salad was good for Mayo potato salad. Being from the south, I whole heartedly believe all potato salad should be mustard based, but I get food isn’t the same everywhere so I let that slide. 🙂 Honestly, the waitress did disclose that it wasn’t mustard based before I ordered it, so I knew exactly what I was getting. One kiddo ordered the kids sliders, another ordered a grilled cheese and the third ordered an adult salad (he’s obsessed with salads right now). They all said their food was yummy and the salad kid was literally trying to shovel it into his mouth so as not to leave any behind. 😂 The portions were HUGE and after taking home leftovers, my BBQ plate has fed me for three full meals! The staff was super nice, the drinks were great, the music was right up our ally and we had a fantastic time here. I’m still shocked that this place wasn’t packed! If you haven’t tried this gem, do it now! We’re staying about 45 min south of Almont, but are seriously considering a second trip up just to eat here again before we go home!”

“I want to let Hungry Howie's of Almont and Headquarters to know they have a very special person working for them who cares about their customers. I have physical disabled where I only have one arm, and I found out that it's hard to carry everything to my vehicle. So, Jacob stepped in and helped me out in carrying my order to my vehicle. That's what you called helping out a customer and it goes a long way. In today's world most people don't go the extra mile to help customers out even if they have a disabled or not, but Jacob did. So Hungry Howie's should be very happy that they have a employee who cares about their customers. Thank you, Jacob, and Hungry Howie's for having a very caring employee.”

“I'm sending this message about two employees at the Almont McDonald's who took care of me on two different days/night. One of the employees is "Liberty" and the other was tonight who took my order. Tonight on 12/15/2025 was a younger person who was wear a light green vest. Both employees should get a "Special Awards" from McDonalds for taking care of a disabled person. It's hard caring the food that I order to the vehicle, but these caring people put them in a bag so I can take them to my vehicle much easier. I have been disabled most of my life where I lot of my arm in a farm accident. But it's nice to see some employees who understand and help out the disabled people. So, I'm hoping McDonald's headquarters and McDonald's of Almont, give these two people a "Special award" for helping out the disabled people in today's world. Thank you, McDnald's of Almont, for having great employees that care of people who are disabled. Thank you again and Merry Christmas and Happy new Years 2026.”

“We were treated so nicely by the owner! She brought our flight my husband I and shared right over to us when it was ready. She even brought us some ice water a few minutes later without us even asking. Little did she know my father had just passed a few days prior and my husband and I needed a little break from the kids and every day life to just sit and be together. Her service was amazing and the way we were treated that day - she has customers for life. Thank you! Coffee is amazing! 10/10 but you guys already know that”
