Chee Peng Chinese and Thai Restaurant

Used to be my favorite,but the last few times I was there the buffet has been cold n they don't refill it how it should be ,you shouldn't have to wait for food your paying good money for,no fryed rice unless you pay Xtra for it,eggs are 1.97 a dozen ,and yeah I been coming there for 6 years.

Worst chinese food I've had. Crab wontons nothing inside them totally flat. Sesame chicken all breading, hardly any chicken.

best place to eat in northern michigan. their t4 is the best

The food was very disappointing. Husband and I got the honey chicken with fried rice. The honey sauce had a odd taste. The veggies were under cooked. We also ordered crab wontons. They were saturated in oil. We also got 2 eggs rolls. They were also saturated in oil. Was a disappointing experience. Very pricey. 49 dollsrs for 2 people.

Absolutely delicious! They had a lunch buffet that we just missed so we ordered off the menu. I had T15 chicken pad Thai with a creamy red curry coconut sauce. omg it was so good. the food was hot and ready quickly. Our service was excellent and the waitress was very nice.

Good food. Large portions. Service slow because we wern't eating buffet. Almond chicken was good, but I felt like they were chicken nuggets. I like the almond chicken with chicken breast.

The best service in Alpena. The servers are very attentive; you never have to ask for anything. Staff are very warm, welcoming, and friendly. Environment is clean, a few too many flies and with an open buffet, it is concerning. Lots of vegetarian options and staff members make great suggestions for substitutions. My all time favorite meal is the vegetable Pad Tai. I eat a few bites, focus on an appetizer and box the Pad Tai. By letting it sit in the box (and refrigerator) over night the noodles absorb all the sauce and it tastes better the next day. The portions are GIGANTIC and one meal will last three days for me. This is by far the best choice for Asian food in Alpena!

From out of town, tried it and its god damn damn AMAZING!!
If you're reading this, I work in grand rapids and this place is more amazing than anywhere else! Don't go anywhere else! This is not your usual standard Chinese or Asian cuisine. Its so SO MUCH better. Try it yourself and find out
