Got the Baby Elephant Ears (not what I would call them) and an order of their Cheese Bread.
The Elephant Ears were outstanding and addicting. I got the cream cheese dip. I would not reccomend getting them unless you want to get fat, as they are very difficult to put down after you try them. For $7, they are more than fair, and the portion is pretty generous.
Then the Cheesey Bread(sticks?) They are delicious too, and re-heat in an air fryer very well. At first the price seemed a bit expensive to me, but dont let the pictures fool you, they give an enormous amount of them, equivalent to about a large of very large pizza from any of the big chains.
I went at an off-hour, so it was just me and the employee. Service was great, he was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
All-in-all, a very solid place to eat, and you won't be disappointed with the food.

The spicy fried pickles were pretty good. I mean issue was I ordered the spicy cow tacos expecting something spicy… The tacos were not spicy at all… And the waitress never came to check on us at any point and when I complained 45 minutes later after she dropped the food off, they provided me with a 10% discount. Anything less than a 100% full refund on the poor item is unacceptable in my opinion.

I want this place to do well, but honestly two visits and not that impressed. This time I ordered an amber beer and it was terrible. I sent it back and ordered a brown, which was slightly better. I still got charged for the amber! The food we ordered was just ok, greasy. Service was great except she should have taken that undrinkable amber off my bill.
The Roman & Ranger surprised us for a PBJ beer. Pricing was good. The food was nothing to write home about.. The staff was excellent especially Isabel
Great beers and food! Service was very good!
Highly recommended in the Alpena area
Great service, great drink choices (even for my picky mother and I) and the pretzel was GIANT and phenomenal!
Best chicken sandwich I've ever had!
Excellent staff and service, beer flite was served quick and cold. We ordered a pretzel and it was hot and delicious with the cheese it came with. Definitely worth the drive if you like beer.
Great staff, great atmosphere and beer selection. Sadly, we should have skipped the onion rings appetizer, which was quite greasy. Next time, pizza! That looked good at someone else's table.

I ordered the chipotle chicken wrap. Delicious and spicy! Kinda pricey for lunch but good. Service was good!
I noticed not many people were there for lunch. Maybe create a lunch special menu?
Hopside is a neat little brewery in Downtown Alpena. They have plenty of drink options and friendly bartenders! Great place for a casual quick drink or a nice date. Plenty of parking options!

I go to hopside whenever I'm in Alpena - I've always enjoy the brewery vibe. I stop going to Austin brothers because in my opinion they lost that brewery vibe. Today I was served by a young kid who again in my opinion didn't understand that vibe. It was Tuesday and they were serving tacos. I ask for hot sauce and he told me there would be an additional cost. After I pick myself up off the floor I said no thank you. He came back to ask me how everything was and I try to explain when an established starts to nickel an dine thier customers your probably going to start losing them and do you really want to lose a customer over 10 cent of hot sauce - he reply i will bring this up to managment and his manger was near by. As I stated above I feel Austin brother has become to big for there britches and I really want to continue supporting hopside but if they lose there brewery vibe I might as while just go back to Austin brothers.
The staff at HopSide Brewery were super friendly and accommodating for our large group of hockey boys and families. The food, beer and service were great- highly recommended!
