Not a great customer experience!
I’ve come with my partner 3 times however on the 3rd occasion I was quite disappointed, the server asked us for ID, a little inconsistent with their policies as this didn’t happen before. The server was rude and threatened to throw my drink away if I shared my drink with my partner, my partner only had a photo of my passport but they wanted original copy only. She also had a ship crew ID with passport number on it. I’m 32 and she’s 28, apparently they ID everyone that looks under 40, this is a blatant lie. I won’t be coming here again.

They were understaffed when we went, so there were quite a few dirty booths and tables and they wouldn't let us wait on a booth to be cleared. (I should clarify, this is NOT a knock on the business itself, but lack of workers, there were signs for now hiring)

Stopped in at Mango's on my recent trip up to Alpena, and I have to say my experience was rather disappointing. Ordered a Vegetarian Burrito, and an order of bean and cheese nachos. What I got definitely could not be classified as a burrito but rather some morphed enchilada and burrito mix, I mean the "burrito" didn't even have beans or cheese as fillings, just vegetables, the beans and rice were put on the side. The bean and cheese nachos I ordered ended up being beef and cheese nachos, and being a vegetarian, that meant they ended up in the trash. The service was great, and the atmosphere while I waited was good..

We have been here many many times, both for dine in and take out! I will say we have had a few minor issues when doing takeout, BUT the food was good! And that's what matters! We have tried so many different things, and have never been disappointed with the food! The atmosphere is great! The staff is always friendly! I gave 4 starts for atmosphere, because sometimes, the music in the restaurant is so loud it's hard to hear others talking at the table! BUT we love it still!
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Alpena. No matter what time we come in here the food and drinks are delicious. I see there menu has now added many American foods. I have not tried any of them my son said there burger was really good. As always our food was top notch. We will be back as this is one of our favorite places to eat.
