Amazing gem in Alpena with a friendly staff and fantastic polish food! A must go if you are in the area. Place has always been packed since we have started going there every time we visit Alpena.

I purchased a takeout order of pierogi. It consisted of 6 pierogis and a side of sour cream.Taste was average but the pierogi was scorched. I live 40 miles away so, instead of returning to restaurant, i I toughed it out and ate what I couldSummary:  average taste but way over priced at $2.50 each. I wanted to sample the food and had high expectations. In the end, mediocrity and exorbitant pricing dictate that I'll stick to my daughter's home cooking.Sorry for the negative feedback but the truth is more important and hopefully lead to positive changes.

Food was delicious and service was excellent! I’ll be going again. I had the deconstructed cabbage roll sandwich (I don’t remember what they call it), and sweet potato waffle fries. Give this place a try ?. Brian was a great host and waiter.

The Cheese Bites were great for kids to eat, small and served with toothpicks, they had fun eating them! The chicken schnitzel was great and the dill pickle soup was a nice unique dish!

I have literally worked in restaurants from ft Myers, FL to NC, all over flint, mi area ?. I can honestly say, the only thing this restaurant needs is a bigger kitchen. The chef & sous chef the owner hired has been with them since opening and by far are the best hands down around. I eat mostly organic, non processed foods & once a shift I ate here at work. Literally 99% of everything is homemade on site or prepared at Nowicki's the sister company. The owner really cares about his patrons, employees & community. The hardest part about my relocation is leaving OPC, I'll be going to alpena on a regular just for the good food. ? all the staff I worked with were team players. I really enjoy complaining, but have nothing negative to say about this place!! 10 stars! Good job,Brian! Keep it up jazz n jd man ? ? love all yall.

Excellent. We ate the Smoked Pork over Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Teriyaki Pork and Vegetables. Quince Polish wine. Server brought me some pickled garlic and it was so good with the Pork. Excellent service. Very clean. Gluten Free safe foods.

The best dinner I've had in Alpena. Yes, there is a wait for the food. The REAL food takes time to be cooked. Excellent presentation. Flavor was unmatched! Sit back, relax, take some good company, and then enjoy your handcrafted dinner. Do yourself a favor and order the cheese cubes. ;)

The clam chowder is the best I’ve had in Michigan. Loaded with clams. Hope they bring it back as a regular menu item. All polish food here is right out of Hamtramck. Excellent.

Just had lunch at this marvelous place. We got to speak to Brian, the owner who is gracious and is committed to quality food and service. The chicken soup with kluski was superb. The dill pickle soup tasted like grandma made it. The golumpki loaf is a modern take on the traditional cabbage rolls. All the taste of a great cabbage roll. The interior of the restaurant pays homage to the building’s 1800 origins but with modern accents to make it work in this time period. The server was attentive but not too much. The ending was the unexplainable crème brule It’s worth the drive for me just to have this sinful dessert!Make a visit here soon!
