These dart boards are a crime to humanity. The scoring doesn’t work properly, it counts points when you take the darts out most of the time, and it adds points if you hit the board when the dart bounces off. The original authentic dart board was much better. Also, the bouncer is so unfriendly! Will not be returning! 😭

Used to be the usual place I'd hang out with friends, the darts always hit the spot even if they didn't hit the board. We'd spend hours there buying rounds and meeting new people as it was easy to play with just people, darts and the chalkboard to keep score. Honestly the new paid dart machines don't fit the vibe of the place and who even keeps quarters on them these days??? Smh y'all ruined a perfectly good dive bar.

Came for the free cork dart boards. Stayed long enough to realize they’d been replaced with three neon, pay-to-play machines straight out of a suburban Dave & Buster’s fever dream. The darts were the entire reason we came here, now it’s just another bar asking for money to recreate what used to be fun for free. Rest in peace cork boards, you were the soul of this place.

Used to come here nearly weekly to play darts because it is the only bar I know of in the area that had real darts. Recently they replaced their dart boards with plastic arcade versions which, unlike the real darts they had, are not unique at all. They really lost a lot of the appeal that the bar had. I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon unfortunately which really sucks.

My friends and I used to love coming here. The vibe was relaxed and we met cool people. As grad students, we wanted a place to have fun without it being college bar with drunk 18 year olds. It was great to meet both young professionals and also a slightly older crowd too. The main reason we were able to meet people from the community was darts. It was free and easy to play with anyone unlike the pool tables. The fact that they replaced their cork dart boards with ugly cheap plastic machines that cost money to play is probably the worst business decision the bar could possibly make. The scoring doesn’t even work properly 😂 When we went there for first time after installment no one was even playing. People showed up looked at the machines and left. Instead of us buying drinks while we play and buying shots for the winning team, we will be telling everyone don’t come. They need to fire the idiot who said that would be a good idea. With so many bars in AA it won’t be hard to find a new place, oh well :/

They ruined the best bar in Ann Arbor :(( They replaced the original dart boards with new-fangled plastic technological machines and now you have to pay for darts! These boards can’t even count right! Will be taking my business elsewhere!!

8ball was the best dive bar in town and I used to love going to play darts. Now they replaced their dart boards with electronic arcade games, and its obvious they are changing their vibe to carter more to college students rather than young professionals. 8ball is loosing all of its uniqueness that made it such a cool space.
Extremely horrible experience, bigoted and homophobic. Kicked me out and told me to leave just because my friend was kissing another dude, outside of the bar, before we even came in. Completely unacceptable

We went out of our way to come back here this year like we did last year for my friend's birthday, had a great time planned arts and getting children's and having a great time. Also really nice to listen to the music from upstairs

My sister highly recommended this place stating it was yer favorite bar in AA, we went there and a beer got spilt on me so I needed to dry my shirt.. the women's bathroom dryer wasn't working so we asked a worker if we could use the mens and he said “its 2025, doesn't matter” and another worker agreed, so I tried to dry my shirt and the door man got mad and kicked us out. i then realized that during the drying encounter I had taken my watch off left it so my sister and I went back, the door man wouldn't let me in so my sister walked by and told the bartender the situation while asking for my watch and he also said that it shouldn't have been a big deal.. anyways, 3 out of 4 workers said that it was fine but the door man still put hands on us and pushed us out.
