“I ordered catering from Satchels twice in the past month. Fabulous both times. Loved the pulled chicken and brisket. Mac and cheese and potato salad were great. Baked beans are the best I've ever had. Coleslaw was chunky and healthy. Can't wait for another reason to order.”
“This was our first time in and we tried two cold salads - the Royal Fusion and Kick n' Fresca. Both were fresh and delicious, and we really enjoyed the sweet chili dressing. It had the right amount of sweet and hot. The restaurant is super clean and Karzan is really friendly. We will definitely be regulars!”
“Great place for a variety of Mexican food with some touch of Lebanese cuisine here and there. I really liked the vibe and atmosphere of this place, it’s very clean, decorated and many seating options. Service was beyond great. We ordered Habanero chicken bowl and chicken tacos with guacamole and chips and everything was delicious! Guacamole and chips specifically tasted and looked like homemade. I confirmed with the waiter and he assured me all the meat options except chicken wings are halal.”
“Love this place-
Tried Canelle for the first time in Detroit, and this branch is just as nice. This spot has fresh pastries, good coffee (and an amazing Mocha), and a comforting overall ambiance. The Parisian influence is especially nice and the outdoor patio on a crisp summer/fall day is just so pleasant. I’d highly recommend a visit if you’re on the lookout for a neat coffee spot in Ann Arbor.”
“Had the chopped brisket sandwich. Had already had the Ruben from their neighbor. Brisket was amazing. Soooooooooo tasty …..from the meat, the seasonings, the sauce….ugh. I’d eat it 3 times a day if I didn’t live in Illinois. And the woman at the counter was great. I’d give them a 10/5!”

“Fabulous food, great new location with additional indoor and outdoor seating (the top deck of the bus is still so much fun, but it's great to have more options), everything on the menu is safely gluten free, and the owners and staff are friendly and helpful. We love 1923!”
“great fresh tender chicken and Fries!!! highly recommended!!”
“Great vegan food. I’ve been to a handful of all vegan restaurants and usually leave within they were better. This place was super. Servers were attentive. Food was excellent. Outdoor space was pleasant.”

“This place serves super delicious wings and chicken sandwiches and biscuits. The traditional flavors are done to a very high quality. The chef takes a lot of inspiration from Asian cuisines in crafting some of the other sauces in sometimes surprising and extremely creative ways. The sandwich of the week is always a solid choice.”
“My husband and I had a quick dinner last night, and our server Claire was awesome! Excellent service, and funny banter. Appreciate you Claire!”
“We loved our dinner at Pacific Rim during commencement weekend. The food was delicious. The service professional and attentive. The restaurant was lovely. Our new favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor and the prices so reasonable. Thank you for making our evening so special”
“Obsessed with this place. Great vibes, service, and such good food. Cannot say enough good things about the charcuterie board. We also got the classic paella and Brussels sprouts. If you're looking to sit outside on a nice night, their back patio is really cute. This is also a perfect place for large groups. They're very accommodating for large parties and you can get a ton of tapas for everyone to be able to try a variety of items. Looking forward to my next visit!”
“We had a great birthday meal with my daughter. Elijah, Jake, and Dylan all made our experience there exceptional. Drinks were out of this world as was the food and the service. Loved every minute of it!”

“I thought it was decent but not much more than that. Slightly above average taste at a normal price and normal portion size. Service was a bit slow and they had some issues with the card ? reader, unfortunately.”
“Beth and I enjoyed our experience. The server/bartender was engaging and accommodating. The craft beer selection is great, food is delicious and truffle fries are amazing. Had a enjoyable afternoon at ”

“Ok, so I know my photo is of an empty bowl but I can't properly convey how beautiful and delicious that veg Bibimbap looked with the perfect egg on top perfectly drizzled in chili AND the miso soup!!!!
This food was scrumdidillyumptious. I didn't know this spot was here, but the people were nice. The art was super cool. Oh, I do have some pictures of the art ,ignore my forehead.
Anyway, if you are in the area and want some good food from nice people, do it. I'm probably going to try the Yakisoba next and grab some of their Onigiri to try as well....or I might just get the Bibimbap AGAIN and try something else another time lol. We'll see, either way a photo of the food before I devour my carryout is in order. Thank you Korner Kitchen”
“Tried Socotra House for the first time and I can’t stop coming back-
The coffee here is as good as it gets when it comes to authentic Arabic coffee. The Socotra latte has more spices and flavour than entire meals you’d ever have in this country. The Adeni tea is also a personal favourite. Flavourful, sweet, strong, and rich.
The coffee shop itself feels super cozy and has more than enough space to even set up and work for a bit. Would highly recommend a visit!”
“tried this place for the first time , the chicken tortilla soup is amazing. I had to go back right after eat my first bowl to buy another bowl and bring home other types of soups for my family to try. The girls behind the counter are nice and friendly. I’ll definitely be back soon more!”
“Great place! The owner is great guy and always like going in there! Best buttermilk donuts around!”

“Every time I’m in Ann Arbor, I always stop here! Best boba but so many other drink options that all look good! Super clean inside. Service is always fast and friendly even when it’s very busy.”
“I am a huge fan of pastries that are not overwhelmingly sweet. This was our first time having Korean pastries. I am in love. They are not too sweet, and the bread is fresh. They are perfect for children as well. We had custard bread (rich), curry croquette bread (perfect breakfast), sweet potato cream bread (savory), and cream bread (WOW)! Even though we're only here for a few days, we will have as many of these as possible before returning home.”
“We catered food from El Harissa for a birthday party! Everything was so delicious and arrived on time. The staff is excellent!”
“Supreme, local coffee spot right off the road with comfy outdoor seating to enjoy a tasty coffee and mayhaps a burrito too!
If you find yourself near Roo's, take 10 minutes and treat yourself!”
“Great food and drinks and the staff treat you like family. Very cool place. I'm looking forward to going back! The beef frita and their fries was everything.”
“Good place to eat and get a beer. Anthony was our server and did a good job. My artichoke dip came out without the dip but Anthony quickly fixed it. And it was really good. The girl at the door seating everyone seemed really odd. I told her we needed two seats. She grabbed the menues and silverware. We followed her to our table. She put the items on the table and left without saying a single word to us. I usually expect them to say follow me or tell me who will be our server. She didn’t say a word. Seemed mad. But it is a beer and burger place. Maybe I expect too much of people.”
“Great nachos! Excellent beer! If you’re in the area you won’t be disappointed!!”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Very comfortable loved the corned beef I was looking for a great bfast this is the place”
“This is the best pizza in Michigan. I have no idea why this place is only rated 4.3. This restaurant should be a straight up 5.0. The pizza is great. I had the sausage and peppers. Fantastic. The owner, Jeff, it's a friendly guy and well-versed in pizza: he's been a chef for 30 years. Great food. Great atmosphere. Absolutely make it a point to eat here, and more than once. Then, when you are completely satisfied, satiated, happy, and full of delicious pizza, write Pizza Pazza a Five Star review. They deserve it. Consider yourself lucky to have found this place - you're going to have a great meal.
Vegetarian options: You can get pizza with all of your veggie choices.
Parking: There are plenty of spaces to park.
Kid-friendliness: Fun place to eat!”
“The best pour-over DECAF I ever had. It needed nothing! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I asked for two iced decafs for my coffee-loving/caffeine-sensitive mom & I, but I was surprised and oh-so-glad I did! We were both wow’d - and the lovely human behind the counter (sorry, missed her name) made it with such artistry. I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in town.”
“Daily appetizer of heirloom tomato bruschetta was outstanding. Entrees of whitefish, spinach and rice was tasty but bland and unremarkable. We've dined at the Roadhouse many times and expect more, especially for the prices. Dessert which was a donut sundae was decent, but donut seemed a bit stale. Beer, wine and coffee were excellent.”
“I went to this dairy Queen It was right around the corner from the University of Michigan couple miles away they don't have any food at the dairy Queen but they got ice cream as we all know and I have Heath concrete cup was great if you're getting ice cream and you're around there I'm definitely recommend it.”
“The Bearclaw Coffee Truck came to support a work event at our manufacturing plant, and it was a huge hit! We chose the "open bar" option for all of our visitors, and everyone had great things to say. Super convenient, great staff, and added a nice touch to the event! I will be booking them again!”

“My husband and I had a very nice lunch together here. Our service was fast, the food was hot, and we were happy with our drinks. We had a very nice service from our waitress. We will come back again.”
“We only had the smoothie here - but there were sandwiches, quesidillas, wraps, bananas, salads and chips too! The smoothies were good! only one size available.”
“fun little treat shop with friendly service. ordered 2 Blizzards (oreo mint and peanut butter cookie dough) which were prepped much faster than the Blizzards at the dairy queens back by our home. this location doesn't participate in the dairy Queen upside down no spill guarantee and they don't have online ordering/rewards but those two dings don't affect the food quality at all.”
“Amazing worker (guy with glasses) and we all know how Hungry Howie’s has probably the best pizza ?. I always get all cheese or half cheese and half chicken pizza with garlic crusts ?. I recommend ALWAYS putting Cajun all over it ?????Bad thing about the place is just that there not place to eat there!”
“Came for the fried total chicken. It was fine. The Kimchi pancake was great out of my expectation. And Ramen was tasty as well. Just the decoration of the restaurant was a little confusing. Chopsticks are too flat, which makes it hard to use.”
“Lovely evening outside being served with a fixed menu. I do agree that this is a 5-star experience, however, beware that it is super pricey and you may not make any adjustments. So, know what you are getting into ahead of time. Reservations are necessary and fill up extremely quickly, as there are not very many tables. Most of the dishes were delicious. We had the vegetarian menu designed for the month. The gnocchi and dessert were top notch. The hard beets, meh, but everyone has different tastes. It was quite enjoyable and the service was great.
Vegetarian options: The menu is fixed and changes each month. There is a vegetarian option.”
“Tried on a whim and we found an excellent date spot! The vibes at this restaurant are perfect. The tables are set up to where you are protected from the noise of other tables and they have cozy and deep booths. Great for dates or a nice mealtime out with friends.
The food was delicious, too. Excellent teriyaki sauce and one of my favorite donburis I have had in years. This was all brought together with top notch service. I will happily come here again.”

“This place is one of the best surprises I've had in a while. My family is always on the lookout for good Mexican food and this place delivers incredibly well. We saw it when driving past and turned around to try it!
We met the Dos Hermanos in person, they made our food, chatted, and gave recommendations. I got the California burrito, my wife got three Campechano tacos, and my daughter got a chicken taco with "orange rice" as she calls it.
It couldn't have been better. Everything was so flavorful, fresh, juicy, and delicious. Truly. The meat, the veggies, the spices, and the salsas were all fantastic. They even had Mexican sodas like Jarritos, Topo Chico, and my absolute favorite, an apple soda called Sidral Mundet. We will be back for sure.”
“I came in with my Wife 3 year old and 1 year old and was welcomed with a smile immediately. After we got our smoothie my son accidentally dropped it! The staff acted with kindness and quickly cleaned up the smoothie mess and even brought us out another smoothie. Great atmosphere and staff made our random stop in at Bitty & Beau’s a truly delightful experience . Thank you!”
“Had a chance to try Noori chicken over the Memorial Weekend. Excellent service and fried chicken tasted really good. Felt like eating from Korea. Definitely coming back again.”
“My husband and I walked in 5 minutes before their afternoon break, but the friendly staff took our take-out order for chicken tikka masala. It was delicious! We will be going back to try more dishes.”
“I am a coffee enthusiast, who is getting a bit more into snob territory, and I have Hyperion to blame. I found Hyperion years ago by chance, and said “This is the best coffee I’ve ever had. I never even knew coffee could taste THIS good!” Now I’ve gone and bought coffee from several places, beans and drinks too. As I write this, I actually have 6 bags of various different coffee beans from places, each unique vendors… except for the two I got from Hyperion. I’ve yet to find ANYONE who has beaten them. Some have come close, some may have them beat in other ways. But ultimately, Hyperion makes THE best coffee I have ever had. I have tried to find someone who can best them and have not found them. I cannot recommend Hyperion enough. They ignited a passion for me, and continue to provide the utmost excellence in coffee. Oh, and they finally sold the banana guava beans! I’m SO excited to see how they turn out at home!”
“Keep Ann Arbor funky and support The Hidden King - a family owned reimagination of the erstwhile stalwart Peaceable Kingdom.
Wheelchair accessibility: When I asked my wife if The HK was wheelchair accessible, she, a degreed interior designer, quipped "it doesn't get much more accessible than this".”
“Fast friendly and very hospitable. Definitely coming back”
“4.7 stars
I liked their fruit tea options ✨Ordered mango green tea before and tropical special is my go to.
They have some seats and public restroom so you can enjoy the drinks there.”
“It may be a little pricey, but having a giant deli sandwich while hanging on South University is well worth it. Friendly guys and a cool collegiate environment with some school history on the walls. I tore into that bread like a rabid Wolverine!”
“I Love this bakery.!!!I purchased a Chocolate cake and it was so delicious and moist. There are numerous cakes to purchase all different flavors. What I truly appreciate are slices of all these fantastic cakes on display and you can buy a slice and determine what cake you prefer. I chose a raspberry and chocolate slice with delicious white frosting. Oh my gosh how delicious, happiness in my mouth. The presentation of all these wonderful treats are spectacular. Let me tell you about their cookies,I love the Almond Joy cookies very moist lots of nuts. The staff is very Helpful and Friendly. I had help getting to my vehicle ,a very Kind young lady opened my door and I carefully placed my treasures on the floor.Listen, run fast don't walk to this delightful bakery full of awesome treats you won't forget.Go buy,Eat and Enjoy.”
“I got the lamb plate and it was tasty!!! So good! My husband got the gyro sandwich and he also though it was delicious! Very friendly service as well! We will definitely be back!”
“Taystee is the best name for this amazing place. I have been going to Taystee's for over a month now and i live in Indiana, but drive to Michigan just for Taystee's. The Wednesday special is just to die for it is so good!!!!”
“Consistently yummy food. Cheerful & attentive waitstaff. Delicious Thanksgiving buffet-turkey or ham with all the trimmings. Rob, the owner, is always on site, usually with several family members. I highly recommend Holidays.”
“Really nice place and fun atmosphere, looks like a good place to post up for a bit and get some work done.
Got the cafe con miel which was made with honey and cinnamon and was really good. My main gripe with those kinds of drinks is it’s wayyyy too sweet usually, and not even coffee anymore but this was really nice and balanced.
Got a cherry cheese danish too that was pretty good too.”
“We have eaten here twice now, while picking up our daughter at UMICH. Both times the food was excellent! Also have to give a big shout to our server Cathy, who waited on us for both visits. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes and made great suggestions for us as we learned the menu. Highly recommend Slurping Turtle!”
“We stopped in for dinner during Artini. Dinner exceeded our expectations. We both ordered the seared salmon served with a very flavorful corn salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly, with a nice crisp texture and with an amazing light sauce. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Nick who took time to talk to us about our meal. Our server Tyler was great and moved things along when we explained our time was limited.”
“Nightcap offers an extensive selection of craft cocktails, including Classics and Tiki drinks. They pay attention to every detail from choice of glassware to the clarity of the ice. The vibe is warm and friendly, and once you cross the threshold you’ll feel like you are in a secret spot in a big city.”
“Excellent food! Kayla, our server, was fantastic. We sat in a hallway type spot, so that wasn't ideal, but overall, we loved our experience. I think it would be worth it to ask to be seated in the indoor patio space.”
“I came from out of town and ordered the Miso Sea Bass. Literally the BEST fish I have ever eaten in my entire life!!! Cannot talk it up enough! Sooo worth the drive to get some of that!”
“Was a perfect time to go, right at opening. We were seated quickly and served quickly. Servers were personable and gave recommendations! Drinks were delicious and food was amazing. If you like finger food, this is your place!!”
“Friendly, Fun, and enjoyed the selection of drinks.”
“Great food! It had lots of flavor, great texture, and hot! The service was very good. They were kind, tentative, and paid attention to detail. Atmosphere was very nice and is modern. As the night went on, the environment got louder, but wasn't too bad.
Vegetarian options: There were items on the menu that were considered to be vegetarian.
Dietary restrictions: The restaurant very much catered to those with food allergies. They also catered to gluten free where possible with select options.”
“First time at Taste tonight on a business related dinner. Lots of locals, awesome menu. Duck breast was Devine, huge cellar for this warm Ann Arbor local. I love places with interesting desert wines, they have a great selection.”
“As a Turkish man living abroad, l missed the test of real authentic Turkish food. I saw Ayse Cafe on the map, and changed my route to try. I am glad l did, l felt like l am in my mother’s kitchen. Everything was very good and the place was very clean and cute. From now on it is my most favorite place in Ohio. Highly recommended.”
“Justina and Lauren were amazing! They took good care of us. It was our first time in and we felt so welcomed. We’ll be back for sure!!! Come check them out. The vibes were immaculate!”
“Six people for dinner on a crowded Friday night before a big game the next day. Calarmari and Brussels sprouts appetizers were excellent. Everyone enjoyed the entrees: lasagna, kefta kebob, branzino. The paella at the next table looked wonderful and we briefly considered whether we should have ordered it instead, even though we all were quite happy with our choices. Our server was excellent. She was attentive and efficient while carefully not intruding on our lively ongoing conversation. When we arrived, the background music was too loud and bordered on pop but was turned down very soon as the restaurant filled up, and remained softly in the background for the rest of the night.”
“Sharing its name, The Last Word is both a memorable cocktail - and establishment in Ann Arbor, MI...! Comparitively, as the cocktail has been ‘riffed’ into many iterations over the years... You might find similar 'speakeasy' bars in one's travels in terms of aesthetic or format, but The Last Word bar has remained a unique experience and solid destination; unmatched by the competition in the area… and elsewhere.
The menu is broken down by traditional categories, and easily aids both a new guest and regular patrons alike with a curated blend of ‘classics’, ‘off-the-beaten-path’ options, and an incredibly extensive spirits list that is accessible to both novices and master tasters. Additionally, as a personal enthusiast and hobbyist of Absinthe (IYKYK), I can pledge that The Last Word has a good spectrum of the ‘allowable selection’ available in Michigan. Thankfully, this particular selection is offered at appropriate pricing, not the unusually-high figures that many other bars default to when buying-into the consumer hype.
It's not just good cocktails here! TLW (switching to the abbv.) has a sentimentally-delicious food menu and has done a quality job of keeping both flavor and presentation at the forefront of their meal program. Anyone who's lived in Ann Arbor long enough knows that the often ‘lofty’ ideals of Downtown dining might last only so long, before having to adapt practice for the changes of time (or the 'college crowd')… Uniquely, TLW has kept an impressive selection of apps, entrées, and desserts over the years; keeping the pulse on classic taste and incorporating new menu items to keep things fresh and reliable.
I recently moved back to the Ann Arbor area, having lived halfway to Detroit for a decade… TLW was on the top of my list for a regular stop, having often been a patron years prior. The staff is a mix of newer faces to me, and who have been there since the beginning… Aside from OG people still knowing me/my name after all that time (WOW!), there has been zero disconnect in the quality level of service/engagement I've received from the first return-visit, and till the writing of this review. It's clear that each TLW employee is giving their ‘A’-game at any tier of the establishment, and as a patron, you get a consistent quality and accessible experience each and every time. Now, having stopped by many times in recent memory, I've had the delight and pleasure to enjoy the vibe, cocktails, food-stuffs, and make new friends at The Last Word. It's as great today as it was a decade ago, like a spectacular, nostalgic memory that you can relive again and again… and also share anew with others.”
“We love Totoro for delivery but finally had a chance to eat in for lunch - very quick service, good prices, great sushi, and they were both knowledgeable and accommodating of a gluten-free diet, which can be tricky with sushi. Gluten free options were marked clearly on the menu, gf rolls and non-gf rolls came out separately, and they brought out a bottle of gluten free soy sauce (a nice touch vs some restaurants who will just bring it to you poured in a dish).”
“Homes is one of the top breweries in Michigan. They routinely brew new and unique beers that manage to be well balanced, unique, and creative. Although I would not bring a novice beer dinner here, for anyone into craft beer this place is hard to beat.”
“The restaurant itself is beautiful. We have been to the downtown Detroit location and decided to give the Ann Arbor location a try. We were not disappointed! We went for our anniversary and our waiter Ivan made our night out so special! He was very attentive, engaging and genuinely pleasant! The food is amazing, the variety of meats that are offered is great, and there are so many interesting dishes within the salad buffet. Thank you for such a great evening, we will absolutely be back!”
“Decent food, but the decor is way too much. The walls are covered in anything and everything. It makes you think about the dust all over. Walking in the door was a huge old spider web, and you could see them also in the corners of the dining room. I recommend NOT going to the bathroom unless you enjoy watching yourself as there is a huge mirror facing the toilet. The best part of the meal was the fresh bread and their dessert.”
“It was nice but the booths was nasty crumbs everywhere maybe should invest in a mini vacuum to clean booths quickly”
“My husband and I had a very nice lunch together here. Our service was fast, the food was hot, and we were happy with our drinks. We had a very nice service from our waitress. We will come back again.”
“Four of us came to this restaurant right after graduation. We were offered limited graduation menu. We ordered pretty much all meals on the menu. Drinks were good, food was OK and service was good. It was expensive and I felt like you paid for ambiance. Had heard a lot about this place but at the end it was disappointing overall”
“Great food and great dinner music. Wait staff were very attentive”
“Classic Korean cuisine. Excellent Korean style interior design. Delicious Kalbi, kimchee, steamed egg soup, Korean salad, dinjon, and one cannot forget the Soju.”
“The Pistachio pizza, Ricotta Stuffed Shells, Campanelle Alfredo, and Burrata E Prosciutto were FANTASTIC!
Parking: Parking lot is very tight. Parking spaces are limited because restaurant is located on an outside mall type setting.”
“The owner was very kind and the food was delicious. I stopped by while traveling with my family, and I felt so refreshed and had a healing experience that refreshed my mood.”
“Food was delicious, our waitress was fantastic and super helpful. I really enjoyed this place. Will be back for sure!”
“the decor was all Michigan wolverine theme and the menu and drinks had a lot of choices but everything was so delicious and it was real filling so it was a enjoyable experience thanks again Allison”
“Such a welcoming environment and amazing food! The cheesecake is a must! Also, the host, I believe his name was Hector, was incredibly charming and funny. I highly recommend!”
“So far, so good! I am a new customer, and I will update it when I have experienced their meal service more. Home-cooked meals at reasonable prices, and seems much healthier than eating out all the time.
I wish I would've known about them earlier and during the pandemic. I'm glad that this meal cooking service exists in Ann Arbor. Check out their website to learn about their rotating menu. One of the pick up sites is pretty close to the Zingerman's bakehouse location and is convenient for me. Take out/pick up/ once weekly meal delivery to your door (orders over $50 in AA area). Usual delivery day is Friday but there are also Saturday pick up options.”
“The food was outstanding!!! We had the Chicago style pizza pie and wow it was amazing and very filling! I would recommend this place hands down! We will definitely return here for more when we are in the area! Thank you for the deliciousness and for a great experience eating in your restaurant! We will be back!”
“The waitress, Hoda, was great! We love this place!!!”
