Solid bbq joint right in downtown Ann Arbor. Everything we got was delicious - the smoked wings were fall-off-the-bone, and the brisket and pulled pork were like butter. The sauces are what really set Slows apart - the apple sauce was my favorite, like apple jam mixed in with a savory bbq sauce. Paired incredibly with the pulled pork (everything else, too). I’d absolutely come back, looking forward to the next time I’m in that state up north!
While I have dined at the restaurant, this review is for their catering service. Everything was easy. Megan from Slows helped us through the process from start to finish. She helped us figure out how much to food to get based on our headcount and she helped with setup at the event. When I thought I didn't ask for enough warming trays, she helped me think through how to use the ones we already ordered rather than simply charging us for more. It was good, not great. No real complaints, just didn't stand out. Would I go back, yes if I was in Ann Arbor looking for barbecue downtown.
