Solid bbq joint right in downtown Ann Arbor. Everything we got was delicious - the smoked wings were fall-off-the-bone, and the brisket and pulled pork were like butter. The sauces are what really set Slows apart - the apple sauce was my favorite, like apple jam mixed in with a savory bbq sauce. Paired incredibly with the pulled pork (everything else, too). I’d absolutely come back, looking forward to the next time I’m in that state up north!
While I have dined at the restaurant, this review is for their catering service. Everything was easy. Megan from Slows helped us through the process from start to finish. She helped us figure out how much to food to get based on our headcount and she helped with setup at the event. When I thought I didn't ask for enough warming trays, she helped me think through how to use the ones we already ordered rather than simply charging us for more. Most importantly, the food...
Ashely M was our server and was amazing. Very attentive and patient, and answered any and all menu questions we had. It meant a lot for the variety of diet restrictions in our party, and Ashley was fun and relatable on so many individual levels - even nerded out over some nostalgic music with my brother in law.
