“A friend recommended this restaurant to me and it sounded like a fun time, after a week we went there. The inside is clean, modern and simple. You have to wait to be seated, once we sat down we were given water right away which is a wonderful way to show good service early. I ordered the spicy pork, fried rice with chicken and hot sake. Before we got our meal, we were given all different types of sauces and appetizers. Like coleslaw, broiled and seasoned broccoli, some kind of spicy fish which I really enjoyed and a very spicy sauce that looked brownish and another sauce that was bright red & black and was also a bit spicy. After making conversation and enjoying the appetizers, 10 to 15 minutes, the spicy pork was brought out on this grilling plate, sizzling and looked very appetizing and tasty. For me and my friend this was the first experience we at Seoul Garden and I was blown away, I love the service more then anything and all of the service staff deserve raises. - Jacob Anderson, thanks for the wonderful meal SG! “Got takeout for the chicken kimchi fried rice, and the portion size is massive! The white bowl shows what I usually eat for one meal this easily lasted me three full meals. Considering food prices these days, it's such an amazing deal, and of course, it tastes incredible. Easily the best Korean chicken spot in Ann Arbor.“

Meat quality is amazing. I am also a fan of the Korean bbq AYCE place, but this place does a better job on meat quality. Combo is a great deal (it’s like buy 3 get 1 free), skewers are also delicious. Very glad to have this place in town.

They are short of staff tho. I saw two employees serving the whole store, so don’t put expectation high on that

I’m also a bit disappointed to see bibimbap, barley tea, and most namul items being no longer available (yes I visited this restaurant when they firstly opened).

At the end of your visit, Mr. and Mrs. Jin bid you farewell with kindness, and Mrs. Jin's warm hugs make you feel like you just visited your own eomma's (mom's) kitchen. The dining area is adorned with colorful orchids by the windows, and the presence of local Korean patrons further assures you that this is the real deal for authentic Korean cuisine. “This was our first time coming in probably at least 2-3 years, since the cost was getting too expensive for the quality. I was happy to see more that the new management added more affordable options and lunch specials that were also available on Saturday! Food was all amazing, and the server was very thoughtful and kind with our kids. I was surprised that they were able to make a non spicy version of seafood soondobu for our kids, which my older daughter loved. They also had very cute divided trays for the kids too, although my eco conscious 7 year old pointed out they would have been fine with the same metal spoons the grownups had instead of plastic. 😅 As another reviewer mentioned, some smaller kid meal options would be great if possible. We ended up with a ton of (delicious!) leftovers.“

“It's been quite a while since I was in this area to eat, so my partner and I chose to revisit one of our favorite Korean restaurants.
As always, the food was absolutely delicious (made my Korean heart sing)! And the gentleman who cooked it was the only staff there. He handled everything so beautifully- the cooking, the indoor diners, carryout pickups - and all with incredible grace and a smile. He respectfully explained to a table of 3 why their order was taking longer than they hoped, making more than 2 trips to ensure they received everything they ordered and needed.
When another staff arrived, she got straight to work, cleaning the table next to ours, and taking a moment to ask if we needed anything before we left. Again, with a smile and such respect.
The food is only one reason for my 5 star review - the exceptional service keeps Kang's at the top of our favorite Ann Arbor Korean restaurant list!“

“Four of us came to this restaurant right after graduation. We were offered limited graduation menu. We ordered pretty much all meals on the menu. Drinks were good, food was OK and service was good. It was expensive and I felt like you paid for ambiance. Had heard a lot about this place but at the end it was disappointing overall“
