“I am absolutely outraged with the behavior of the owner today at SOHO. My family and I went to this restaurant after Saturday little league games. We had 5 adults, 5 children and 2 babies. We have been to this restaurant countless times as a family. Today, after sitting and looking an menus, ordering drinks, we were met by the manager that came to our table and said “I’m sorry our limit is 8 people”. Confused, we asked for clarity because again, we have been to this restaurant countless times with the SAME group and number of people. In fact, we have NEVER been to this restaurant with less people. I asked, “wait are you saying we can’t eat here today because of the number of people?“ THAT is how confused I seriously was. The manager then responded, “Yes, I’m so sorry”. I pointed out to him that we had been sitting, getting ready to order for quite some time. Moments before this, the waiter came to take our orders but had to leave to grab us extra napkins. He said that his waiter called him all the way from his home because he couldn’t “do it” - referring to asking us to leave. There were quite a few other staff members there. So if this was a rule, why didn’t any of them point it out to the “new person” or let us know right away Of their “party limit”.? Please know we went on a Saturday around 330pm and there was two other parties in the entire restaurant - totaling only 5 other people. To me, if I had a party that was a few people over my “limit” I would not kick them out one, but definitely not when my restaurant is close to empty and the party has already been sat. Because of my “new team members” error- as a manager, I would have continued to serve this party. I need to point out that NONE of us in our entire lives have ever been asked to leave ANYWHERE. We are a Christian family of Pastors and ministers. I say this to speak to our character. There was no behavior on our end, that warranted this. I also pointed out that the table we were sitting at was DESIGNED for more than 10 people. We didn’t come into the restaurant moving tables and chairs together, the table was already set up for 12 people to sit there. I asked the manager why we were sat and waited on For all this time to then be kicked out? He claimed that the person who was our waiter was new and didn’t know their 8 people limit rule. I pointed out the fact that the table we were sitting at was set up for 12 And asked why that is if they had a limit of 8? He then said with our number of kids - it is not safe for them in the restaurant because their establishment serves alcohol. So first it was because our party was more than 8 and then it turned into being an issue with the number of kids? There is absolutely no reason for this behavior. To me, the only thing that makes any sense is it being racially discriminatory. I strongly urge you to no longer go to this restaurant. Of course, we left with no issue because if we are not welcome or wanted because of race or any other invalid reason- we don’t want to eat at the restaurant anyways. But point of my review is to prevent this from happening to anyone else. we used to love this place and our entire family would come. never again, even with 2 people will I step foot in this establishment and I will strongly encourage everyone I know and everyone that’s reading this to do the same.“
“Spicy braised pork with cheese corn is S tier! Makgeolli is well priced, comes in a big bottle, and is super tasty. Bonus points for the loud ambiance. You can bring your crying baby, and nobody will notice! Must try for anyone in the area.Vegetarian options: The cheese corn and complimentary Tteok-bokki mean you can share a night out pounding drinks and filling up on greasy food with your meat-eating friends!Parking: Clawson has free parking lots at every corner of the 14-mile/main intersection, as well as free street parking.Kid-friendliness: Restaurant has loud music and lights, which will either entertain or upset your child. If they are upset, the music will cover up their cries, and clawson is a family town, so nobody will care anyway.Wheelchair accessibility: Two tables are up a small set of chairs, all tables are at wheelchair height.“
“It was a nice, cozy place and staff was friendly. We ordered the chicken yaki udon, chicken omurice, and 4 rolls of sushi (california roll, kazoku roll, las vegas roll, square lake roll). Everything tasted great but our favorite was the las vegas, square lake roll, and the yaki udon.“
“After being introduced to Noori at the Clawson location, I was happy to find they had opened another location in Shelby! Not sure how it snuck by me for so long. The chicken is amazing! This is the only place you'll ever want to go for wings. Don't let the number of wings fool you, they're roughly twice the size of wings anywhere else and their quality is amazing. I prefer the supreme and the soy chili sauce, they're sweet, savory, and spicy. I tolerate a high level of heat and these have just a enough heat to feel for me, your mileage may vary. Dumplings are also very good! Dumplings are also fantastic. You will not be disappointed. Will be back soon! Why are you still reading, order some now!“
“I am not exaggerating what so ever here when I say I have been here every day for the past 2 or so months. Their Rose Tteokbokki never seems to miss. My first time ever trying rose was here and I have been obsessed with it ever since. The staff are so nice and never fail to make me smile when I come in to order. Love the staff and food, if I could give this 100/5 stars I would!:)“
“We had finished an evening of shopping down the road and were hungry. We were craving noodles and chicken and came upon Kimchi Box. The woman who took our order was extremely friendly and helpful. We placed our order and when we got our food it looked incredible. And sure enough, it was!! The food was so flavorful and you can tell everything is made with passion. The sauces were so good too! Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you Kimchi Box!“
“10/10 experience!! The woman who took our order was very kind and helpful. Got the bibibop and it was delicious! The tofu is so crisp. Also it’s a huge portion you’ll probably have leftovers. Also fair priced, excited to go back.Vegetarian options: Delicious tofu!“
“4 stars but really is a 5 based on what they serve!Let start by saying, everything on their menu is superb! I got the Bimbap and it was awesome. We also tried the popcorn chicken, sassy fries, and the kimchi box.The knock for one star is lack of a soup option. Everything would have been great to wash down with some hot soybean soup or kimchi soup!“
“BahDah is easily my favorite sushi spot in the area. You simply cannot beat the value you get for this food. The lunch teriyaki bento box is a steal and my favorite thing on the menu. When ordering carry out my order has always been correct and the staff in store is super sweet. If you'd like to dine in there are some tables to do so. Highly recommend coming here if you're looking for some delicious sushi at a fair price point.“
“Really enjoy the soy garlic flats from here. Definitely very good of you like fried anything. The spicy wings are on the spicier side so be prepared if you order that. The quality of the chicken is very good which it puts it above other fast food wing places. I usually get takeout as there's not many tables at the restaurant.“
“First time visiting this restaurant and really enjoyed the food! The waiters were very nice here and they also had suggested which sauces I should eat with my meat. Also provided the best-selling orders and recommendations in which I really appreciate. Would definitely come back here again with more friends! There’s a variety of foods for vegetarian people if they cannot eat pork :)“
“The price, quality and quantity were all very good. The service was horrendous but the rest of the pluses made up for the extremely slow service. What was most st disappointing was there were only 8 customers. I am typically pretty patient with restaurants due to workforce issues but this was just a really bad waitress. But they still get 5 stars.“
“First of all I absolutely love Korean food and the people of this restaurant take good pride and their food this was my first time coming here and I had a wonderful time the atmosphere was lovely it was very homey and the food was very deliciousDietary restrictions: They have gluten-friendly options“
“Great food. Must try is their small bites before food which includes deep fried egg plant, picked tofu, mung bean steamed sticky rice. We tried the grilled mackerel and fried chicken with hot pepper, spring rolls, fried dumplings. Portions were more than sufficient. Will try again during lunch for BBQ.Must try Korean place in Troy. Try it for birthdays, love their disco lights and birthday cake sung by staff.“
“So happy to have been able to try Korean corn dogs finally! These were tasty and had interesting flavors. We got only cheese in all of them. They were a little bready but still yummy. I’d recommend trying out for sure! They have self service check out screens to order from which was efficient.“
“Loved everything about this place. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. The food was excellent. We had the seaweed salad, takoyaki, and gyoza for appetizers. For entrees we enjoyed bowls of ramen, the Tonkatsu and the Shoyu. Both were perfect. We also loved that they brought little platters with pickled veggies and kimchi, and a small house salad before serving our food. That was a nice touch to top off the already great service. Loved it. Definitely recommend 10/10.“
“Small little restaurant inside H mart.I ordered the black bean noodle and Korean fried chicken wings to go, and both dishes were great. The staff was nice and friendly, and it didn’t take long to get my food. The portions were huge and tasty. The black bean noodle was full of flavor, savory and chewy. It came with vegetables and small bites of pork. The wings were crispy and tasty with a little kick.I would def come back to try more dishes.Parking: Big plaza with plenty of parking spots.“
“Sapporo may not boast the fastest service, but the quality of the sushi more than makes up for the wait. Each dish is meticulously prepared, showcasing the skill and attention to detail of the sushi chefs. The flavors are exceptional, with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients that elevate traditional sushi to a memorable dining experience. The pricing reflects the quality of the offerings, making it a worthwhile investment for those who appreciate the finer points of sushi craftsmanship. Despite the slower service, the overall experience is highly recommended for sushi connoisseurs and those looking to indulge in some of the best sushi around.“
“Fantastic local sushi place in RH. Attentive servers and a diverse menu. We got the shrimp tempura and veggie tempura- super crispy and golden yellow, yum yum and Las Vegas rolls- 10 pieces each and the presentation and taste were delicious. There’s no alcohol at the establishment but plenty of other refreshments to choose from. Would def recommend!“
