“I grew up in Ann Arbor during the '70s. And while this came along later, my mom was a big fan for years. She took me here to it the first time. It's an Arbor vibe. International. playing reggae music.Low key atmosphere casual affordable, serving Indian soul food. thank you earthen jar for putting out such nourishing tasty food for so long.Dietary restrictions: its Gluten free, as I understand it. except for if you order naan“
“At the owner’s recommendation I had a lamb sandwich, which was delicious—super flavorful and had a nice heat/spiciness to it (which can be hard to find around here sometimes!). The owner is friendly and has an interesting story. Overall fantastic value (the price makes it possible to tip well :) ) I’ll definitely be back and look forward to trying other things on the menu!“
“Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor! It’s a great place to support a family-owned business and the service is incredible! They go above and beyond to help customers. I accidentally placed a pick up order wrong, and they took the time to help me and thank me for my patronage! Definitely recommend!“

“Cardamom has maintained a very high culinary profile over the years without attempting to be too upscale. Very good meat and vegetarian Indian standards, of which Seekh Kabab, goat curry, and the aubergine curry stand out. Order these medium or hot! Great bar with excellent cocktails is an added bonus. I’d give it 4.5 or 5 stars were it not for the outdated decor and floor covering.“
“We had an amazing catering experience with them! Amar helped us through the entire order! All of our dishes were very good, Mughlai chicken, Shahi paneer, Biryani etc! They also provided an innovative beverage called pineapple ginger sparkling punch which was a showstopper! Everyone really liked the mini samosa which had a little bit of kick but if your audience likes spicy food, it will be hit! They also provided a beverage dispenser for our event which was so helpful along with chafers and serving spoons! Highly recommend catering from them! ✨“
“By far the best biryani in town. My order is a lamb biryani, hot, and extra gravyish. This place is consistently great and never disappoints! The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The woman who works the front is so kind and takes care of you every time, Thank you! Truly, this place has the best Indian food. The quality is top notch.Dietary restrictions: Meat is halal! :)“
“Aroma: According to Google, Aroma can be defined as 'a distinctive, particularly pleasant smell'. And what a word to describe this restaurant. As a Glushyn, I'm well known for having a distinctly 'Glushy' aroma. So trust me when I say the aroma of aroma is truly top notch. Although the price is a little high at times, I can't recommend the taste of this restaurant's food enough. The samosas and the naan are particularly great for parties/ catering. 5/5 would glush again ? Great for vegetarians too. It can be difficult to cater to my hipster friend who listens to Berkeley music but this place does it all!!!“
