“This was our first time visiting and it was a great time, Ray was excellent with his commitment to excellence, his food and seasoning are on point. We had the Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindalu as well Mix Starter which was an excellent appetizer. We want to thank Scott from Detroit Food Review for showing this restaurant on his YouTube Channel. “Honestly, THE BEST parathas we've had in a very long time! We had gobhi, haryali paneer, chatka paneer, aloo and a non spicy aloo. Each paratha was freshly hand made, with fresh ingredients and so tasty, served with dahi, achaar and butter. The portion size is huge!! Do try the mango lassi too. This is a small restaurant, packed with delicious food , served with love. Our server was amazing and offered various choices. Next time we're in Windsor, we will be back!!“

“This place was delicious!! The Jamaican Beef Patties were mouth watering. We split veggie fried rice and the curry chicken. Both exceeded our expectations. The food was flavorful, portion size was great. Friendly and attentive staff. Can’t wait to come back!“

“I’ve been to Paan Banaras & Cafe a couple of times now, and every visit has been a great experience! Their Sweet Paan is a must-try — a traditional Indian betel leaf dessert packed with refreshing flavors and a perfect balance of sweetness. I also really enjoyed their Kashmiri Pink Chai, beautifully made with the right touch of sweetness and nuts, along with the Rose Falooda and other treats on the menu.
It’s a cozy spot right in the heart of Windsor, perfect to hang out with friends and enjoy authentic paan and unique desserts. Definitely one of the best paan cafés in the city — highly recommended!“

“Great, inexpensive food in the basement of the International Institute, adjacent to the Detroit Institute of Arts and the College for Creative Studies. A family-run operation with a mix of Indian, Lebanese and U.S. American options. Servers are kind and attentive. I special-orderd chicken-curry atop a salad (to avoid the carbs in rice) and loved it. Nothing fancy, but an excellent place for a good, quick lunch.“

“I recently came back after 13 years with my family, and I was honestly surprised in the best way. The taste is still exactly the same. That same flavor I remembered was still there. It felt like nothing had changed.
I was especially curious to see how my 6-year-old son would react since he usually doesn’t enjoy Indian food much. But he loved it and even finished the whole plate. That says a lot.
I do miss the simple salad they used to serve with ranch, it paired perfectly with the biryani. I had to ask for it this time, but it still brought back that same experience.
This place is a hidden gem in Windsor. If you’re looking for great biryani, especially as a student or someone missing home-style Indian food, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be coming back again“

“I ordered paratha combo. Whole food is so delicious and flavourful. I am a regular customer, almost from 2 years. The girl Mandeep Kaur, randomly I saw her over there all the time to serve my food. If she is cook or she made the food then the food is best That’s amazing as usual. 👍I really appreciate your service guys.“

“Tried beef tehari(dine in).
Halim and fuchka(ordered online).
Beef tehari was so delicious. Highly recommended dish.
Halim was also full of flavor.
The fuchka, was not as expected. The stuffing tasted more like chotpoti than traditional fuchka filling. While the taste wasn’t bad, the stuffing was different from authentic fuchka. They also served a very small amount of tamarind sauce.“

“Seriously the best Pakistani food in Windsor, mashaAllah! Everything is fresh and absolutely delicious. The flavours are incredible, and the spice level is perfect (you'll feel the heat, but it's definitely tolerable). Also, not too oily at all! Prices are reasonable. The mutton biriyani was a particularly big hit with plenty of delicious, boneless lamb in the rice. I highly recommend Biriyani & Grill the next time you're craving some delicious Pakistani eats!“
