Unfriendly waiter. Snooty. This is a cafe serving homestyle Polish food, not a five diamond rated restaurant. Will not accommodate take out orders for out of state travelers, so we booked a table outdoors since we had special needs children (who were very well behaved I may add). Still had an air of superiority and snootiness. Unfriendly. We saw a family with 4 young daughters who also were forced to turn away due to no accommodation. Simply not an environment good for children....read full review

Amadeus Restaurant offers a charming and cozy slice of Europe with a vintage Polish vibe and eclectic decor. The dining area is decorated with a mix of items on the walls, creating a unique and artistic atmosphere. The food is superb and delicious, with highlights including the Budapest pancake, chicken paprikash, dill pickle soup, and Salmon-Ski. The restaurant has a warm, old-world feel, with slow-cooked, carb-heavy dishes such as potatoes, noodles, breaded meat, and cabbage, reminiscent of traditional Polish cooking. The place is very cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a relaxed dinner or a special occasion. Service is attentive, though it can be slow, especially when tables are large, and the staff may seem less responsive if drink orders are small. Reserving a table ahead of time is highly recommended due to limited seating. The wine and beer list are extensive, but non-alcoholic options like coffee and hot tea are limited. Overall, Amadeus is a hidden gem in Ann Arbor, offering excellent food and a warm, artistic atmosphere.
