Decent food, but the decor is way too much. The walls are covered in anything and everything. It makes you think about the dust all over. Walking in the door was a huge old spider web, and you could see them also in the corners of the dining room. I recommend NOT going to the bathroom unless you enjoy watching yourself as there is a huge mirror facing the toilet. The best part of the meal was the fresh bread and their dessert.
Well, I was in Ann Arbor at university before this restaurant opened. In 1988, I would come regularly. I left the area in 1991 to take a post in my home state. It still is a charming spot. And, despite dining alone and being warned that I would have to eat in less than an hour, I have ordered. We'll see how this ends. I have returned here on my visits back to the city. This visit might be the shortest and last...The "time limit" or stopwatch on my dining experience...
Man this restaurant was really something special. The food was really quite delicious and the staff timed our foods perfectly. Never waited more than a few minutes between each part of our meals. This place really gave me the feeling of that nice fancy family dinner on Sunday at your Oma's.Highly recommend the kielbasa, the Budapest pancakes as well as the dessert coffees.
