If you like Avocado Toast then this is a great place. Lot's of options for vegan coffee drinks, but the food menu is extremely limited. They recently moved to a smaller space as part of Pretzel Bell.
I really loved their white bean humus with all the roasted veggies. I stole some of the hubbies fries and used it as a dip. Their avocado toast is vegan with good flavor profile. Never been a super fan of onions, but their pickled onions were amazing. Seriously. Their vegan lattes were good too.
Loved the food! Salmon omelette was amazing, would definitely recommend. Perfect amount of food with the salad and toast on the side. Blueberry pancakes were a great sweet treat after, we got the kids size so the portion was just right.

We decided to eat here after a football game and we were very disappointed. Our server was very friendly but the food missed the mark. My salmon bowl was not good and came with one piece of burnt crusted salmon that was hard to cut through. My wife's lunch was just ok. I never complain but I felt like I needed to show them my salmon. The waiter was apologetic but the manager came out and questioned what was wrong with it even though the issue was very visible. Makes me think that the standard dish is food that is barely edible. Will definitely not go back.

Not impressed. Came last year and it was very good. This year for breakfast, not good at all. Got black coffee and never offered a refill once on our super weak black coffee (it was empty this morning at 8:30am— so not busy), potatoes came out cold, no dressing on the greens. And the toast wasn’t really toasted. When I asked if they had a small or short stack of pancakes the server just simply said no (in a polite way). However a different server told a table nearby who had a kid that there’s a smaller kids order they could get for pancakes. We were so annoyed (and hungry, needing more coffee) after, that we walked down to Fleetwood for a good cup of coffee, hashbrowns, and pancakes at half the price and twice the service.

Sat outside on the patio Sunday brunch. Was disappointed to find they no longer have liquor license. The server took a coffee order, 1 iced coffee; came back 15 min later & said “yours is up next, can I take your order.” 10 minutes later coffee was delivered, 30 min after that we received our breakfast. While both were generous is size, egg breakfast sandwich & avacado toast with egg; both were cold. I had to find the server to bring us a check; she was in the kitchen chatting. Given the cost, $41.00 we will not be back. Sad….

The food here is amazing but last time I visited the service was horrible. Our waitress took our order and then disappeared for a full hour. Someone else brought our food out, and she did not come back to check how the food was or if we needed anything else. We had finished our food and were sitting waiting for her to come back for 30 minutes before giving up and heading inside to ask for the bill. The host told us he would find her for us and it took another 15 minutes after that for her to bring the bill out. 10 minutes later she still hadn't come back for it and it had started raining so we went inside to have them take the bill so we could leave. We got there around 9:30, were finished eating about 45 minutes later, and weren't able to leave until 11:15. I don't know if our waitress was just having an off day or if something was wrong but it was really disappointing.

Made a reservation for brunch before Ann Arbor Pride - we enjoyed delicious food and attentive service, and we were perfectly positioned to join the festivities when we finished our meal.
The service was fabulous. My dining partner said he has had service before from our same server and that she has been working there for about eight years. I find that amazing in this day and time.
The menu is extremely diverse. They are a breakfast, brunch, lunch restaurant only their menu covers all three!
You can get anything from avocado toast, to oatmeal, to specialty crafted sandwiches and some delicious pancakes and French toast .
The coffee was great too. My dining partner had an orange juice which was freshly squeezed.
If you’re in Ann Arbor in the downtown area, stop in to the Avalon for absolutely exquisite service and food that is stellar!!!

A solid smash for brunch the mushroom burger was my favorite and they had fun cold brew flavors, although the strawberry cold brew had no distinct strawberry flavor to it. The bacon avacado egg sandwich was good but the bread really eroded my mouth it felt like I was chewing for 3 eons, but ig that’s the case with sourdough. Dude also the bacon on the sandwich was delicious. BE WARNED ITS PRICEY?

Would not recommend. Service subpar - had to get my own silverware, ask for iced tea refill, wait and wait for check. Turkey BLT was on thick sourdough (which I don't like, I should have asked what kind of bread was used); the whole sandwich was bread. Eating just the inside of the sandwich was not at all filling. Asked for "greens" instead of fries and they were covered with dressing. Had to ask for "dry" greens. Most places serve dressing on the side, server should have specified they would come with a coating. The iced tea very weak, like drinking water.
