I think they closed recently. :(
It was good but nothing special.
This is my favorite place to eat sushi in Ann Arbor! It's a small space and doesn't get quite the hype that Totoro does, but that only makes it an overlooked gem. The servers are friendly and tend to you quite well. The sushi itself comes out quickly and is always very delicious. I recommend getting the 911 roll if you can handle a little bit of spice. In the summer I recommend calling ahead of time to make sure they are open because sometimes their listed as open online when they're closed for the day.
All three different rolls tasted the same and looked the same.
Food was amazing! Staff were great
The best sushi on South U, if that's what you're looking for look no further. The restaurant is small and has an intimate atmosphere, and the service is great to match.
Great Sushi there! I took a dinner with my friend tonight at this place. We had three sushi rolls together + got soup and side salad and we paid only 20 something bucks! No wonder this place is always full of people. Sea eel is amazing there!
This place is a great small business with great food and great service. I go all the time and love it!
The owner is a complete scumbag. Never have I encountered such rude, unprofessional, and horrible service. He cursed multiple times at my friends and threw the food away because one of us decided to order take out instead of eat in. Like what? It didn't even make any sense. Whatever you do, DO NOT EAT HERE.
Teriyaki bento box is my go to for decades. Server actually told me I do not know what Teriyaki is when they brought out the cold, dry chewy sauce free meat. For that price I expect Chop House quality.

Bi Bim Bap was good. Not fantastic, just good.
My girlfriend and I love this place. Not only great sushi, but plenty of it (and small complimentary soup / salad to boot!). Excellent variety of rolls to choose from, and bento and teriyaki too. I'm no suishi connoisseur, but here's my take: 1. It's sufficiently delicious that I wouldn't mind going back every week; 2. It's priced well enough that I actually might. Quality sushi, no special occasion required.
When people think of the worlds best sushi they think Jiro Dreams of Sushi - Tokyo, Nobu - Los Angeles and of course Ayaka - Ann Arbor . Never in my life have I had such fresh fish. Do you guys access to the Pacific Ocean through the back door!? LOL! The food, exquisite; the service, sweet as candy; and the presentation; to die for. Ayaka is one of Ann Arbor's premier landmarks. It's perfect for client dinners, birthday parties and even weddings. As a Michigan alumni I know exactly where I'll be eating when I make it back to town. Go Blue and Go Ayaka!
The service in the early evening was very good and the food showed up fairly quick.
A good place for lunch or dinner. I really enjoy the Rainbow Roll 2, which is a California Roll topped with a variety of fish that is then partially charred with a torch and accompianed with a sweet ponzu sauce as well as a spicy mayo wasabi sauce. The Hawaii Roll with tuna over a California Roll is also very good. If you like deep fried rolls the Las Vegas, featuring snapper and cream cheese, or the sunset California where a spicy tuna roll is breaded in panko and fried and topped with a spicy crab mixture are both good. The sashimi lunch or dinner are classic options and worth considering. I have been going here since they opened around 8 years ago and still frequent and enjoy this place.
