Babs is the probably the coolest bar in Ann Arbor with good drinks and service. The part that makes it really hard to give 5 stars is that every time I have been there is a lingering smell of throw up in the stairwell, and around the bar area. The guy at the front checking IDs was well aware too. Would change to 5 if it smelled like a normal bar

Cool basement bar area, dark. The mocktails were good, and had some interesting drinks that pretty good also. Decently loud but that's a bar for you. There was a decent amount of seating and 2 pool tables. We got there early so there was a wait to get in after.

Wow!!! On our way to Toledo, we stopped to do a little sight seeing in Anne Arbor, MI to check out the University of Michigan and came across this gem. I have to say Bab's is a pretty amazing speakeasy bar. The ambience was definitely gorgeous but the best part of the EXPERIENCE was the customer service. Megan was phenomenal and is a true mixologist. You can tell she loves her craft and takes a lot of pride in her creations. I would highly recommend visiting Bab's to have the same experience we had. Definitely try their Banana Coconut Espresso Martini, The Angry Bird, Raspberry Rain Martini and the Passion Fruit.

One of my favorite bars in Ann arbor. One time I came here with friends and they were playing Polar Express on the TV's so we stayed and watched the whole movie. The drinks are amazing and the bartenders are so cool and will make drinks that aren't on the menu for you if they aren't too busy. I wish I would have taken pictures of the drinks I got because they were so cute!! Personally I recommend getting there earlier in the night, but I prefer less crowded places so that definitely varies based on what your vibe is.
